Chapter 3 - || Chapter Two ||

The next day was a bit blurry to Deleasa. All she remembered, or wanted to remember, was travelling through time looking for someone named Niall Horan. She knew exactly what he looked like but didn't know exactly where to find him.

After arriving in the year 2020 in New York City's Central park, she had been brought to the hospital to rest and recover. Having to lie about not knowing anything about herself, she left the doctors and nurses perplexed and frantically searching for Niall Horan.

"Unfortunately we cannot find him or get in touch with him," the doctor was telling Deleasa that morning while she hungrily ate her breakfast. "But the good news is we know who he is and we did happen to get in touch with someone who's close friends with him."

"Is he coming to get me? I think I'm ready to leave," Deleasa said through bites.

She watched the doctor's facial expression change from soft to stern. Something was up.

"Let's just leave it at that, shall we? You just keep resting and I'm sure you'll be up on your feet in no time," he said gently patting her on the hand.

Once he was out of the room she quickly got up and checked the closet for her belongings. Relieved they were there, she quickly put them on.

"I have to get out of here and figure out a way to find Niall myself. I think they're onto me and I can't be held captive before my mission is compl," she said to herself.

Deleasa checked outside of the room through a window before going back to the big window and hoping on the windowsill. Maybe she could get out through here.

Unlocking the latch, she swung it open quietly and climbed onto a ledge. Thankfully she wasn't afraid of heights. She was a warrior from her planet after all. Being from the far future, she had advanced technology to help her stick a landing if she ever needed it. She believed it was almost that time.

"If I get back to my ship I can do research. I'm fully recovered from my ordeal so I can now focus on the task at hand," she said out loud, looking around for an easier way to get down.

She shrugged and took a leap. There was no other way, or faster one for that matter. Pressing a button on her wristband, It created some weird foam type substance on the ground beneath her.

All eyes were on her but she didn't hang around long enough for them to be able to get a good look at her. She located her time machine and ran in that direction.

"Man, if I had money I would totally rent a cab," she huffed. "Central Park is miles away and I might get there in... 24 hours if I run and not stop."

She laughed to herself and slowed her speed to a brisk walk. "I am not running all the way."

People bustled around, some knocking into her rudely and other saying excuse me while passing. She must've stuck out like a sore thumb with the way her clothes looked.

"I need to change... but I dont have money," Deleasa said with annoyance.

Seeing an atm, she stood in front of it and with a few swipes on her wristband a few hundreds came out.

"I'm sure they won't mind me borrowing some of this..." she said to herself.

There must be a clothes store that would sell cheap stuff. Something that didn't make her stand out like what she had on now. Deleasa looked up and down the streets of the busy city and a few clothes stores caught her eye. She finally chose one that looked simple and not to conspicuous.

Not too long after buying and changing, she noticed a commotion happening a few feet away from the clothes store. Cameras were flashing and a mob of girls rallied around someone walking. She went in for a closer look.

"I can't believe it's him! I love you Niall Horan!" A teenage girl screamed.

Deleasa looked at her funny and rolled her eyes and glanced in the direction everyone else was looking. When her gaze landed on Niall Horan, it felt as though her heart stopped. She had finally found him!

"Now how do I get his attention?" Deleasa thought to herself as the screaming girls deafened everything around her.

She covered her ears and followed Niall with her eyes. The crowd of screaming fans was getting pushy, causing her to be pushed against a wall.

"Get off of me!" She yelled as loudly as she possibly could in hopes of catching their attention. "You're all crushing me! Help!"

The crowd was too intense for her still weak body to handle. Deleasa was still in pain from the battle on her world and from the sudden time jump. She could feel herself giving in to the massive weight on her body when someone suddenly spoke through a loud microphone.

"Everyone settle down and mind your surroundings!" The familiar accent of Niall filled the air. "There is no need for all of the pushing."

He handed the microphone to a man and made his way to Deleasa, who was now on the ground holding her ribs. Whispers were heard and girls fan girling was noticeable as he knelt down and placed a gentle hand on Deleasa's back.

"Are you hurt?" He asked, his blue eyes curiously wandering her pale face.

She stared into his eyes and tried to speak but no words came out, for she was feeling weak. Deleasa wasn't sure if her lightheadedness was from finally finding it him or from the pressure released as the crowd backed away.

"My ribs.." she found the words. "It hurts to breath. I'm tired... hungry..."

Niall's brow farrowed and he helped her to her feet. "I'll help you, love. Come with me."

"Please... don't take me to a hospital..." Deleasa found herself begging as they came up to a black sedan. "I don't want to go back there."

He looked at her with concern but nodded reassuringly. "That's fine. We won't go there."

She managed a weak smile before climbing into the car. Tiredness overcame her suddenly after the door closed and Niall sat next to her. So many things she had to tell him and so little time.
