Behind her, at the stairway, a Third-level Noncommissioned Officer holding some documents came running down, grabbing a passing recruit: "Have you seen Old Cao?"
"Somebody came to the firing range just now looking for the platoon leader, saying it was his comrade."
Having finished talking, the recruit glimpsed two people walking leisurely on the gravel path, quickly pointed out: "Over there, should I go call the platoon leader over?"
However, the Third-level Noncommissioned Officer stopped him: "Never mind, it's not urgent, we can talk about it later."
Curiously, he then asked the recruit: "Do you know which comrade of your platoon leader it is?"
"I haven't seen him before." The recruit scratched his buzz cut: "He came over in a military jeep, I didn't see any rank insignia on his camo, but he looks high-ranking."
The Third-level Noncommissioned Officer jokingly cursed: "Do you have fiery eyes to make out a person's rank?"
