Chapter 2 - 2.The wedding day*

He ruffled his neatly styled hair, his body heating with frustration. He unbuttoned his suit and tossed it onto the couch.

"Stop crying! The sound of your sobs is driving me crazy!" the man shouted again. He leaned down, staring into Vira's tearful eyes.

"*Sob* You're the reason I'm crying!" Vira protested, raising her hand.

Red marks from his grip were visible on her wrist. Without saying anything else, he shoved her onto the mattress.

"Alright," he said, trying to calm down. "I'm sorry I grabbed you like that. But can you please stop crying? It's our wedding day."

Vira shook her head weakly. But the real problem? She was married. Married to this rude man on their very first day.

"Huaaa!!!" Vira cried even louder.

"Shhh!!" The man tried to hush her.

"Can you just stop?!" he snapped again, even more annoyed.

He roughly covered her mouth with his hand—but Vira bit him hard.

"Ouch! What the hell?! That hurts, you little—!" he cursed.

Vira didn't care. She yanked off her veil and threw it on the bed.

"Who are you? And why did I have to marry you?!"

The man frowned. For a moment, they just stared at each other, both confused.

"I'm Vino. Aren't you Lisa?"

"Huaaaa!!!" Vira wailed again.

Vino covered his ears in pain. Her voice was loud enough to break glass.

"I'm VIRA, not Lisa! Screw Lisa!!" she shouted, throwing one of her heels across the room. Vino dodged it.

"So you're not Lisa? Why didn't you say anything earlier?!"

Vira glared at him, her eyes sharp as knives.

"Damn it! Your staff is so unprofessional! How could they not tell the difference between me and your real bride?!"

"Wait…" Vino raised his hand, thinking hard.

Vira stood with her hands on her hips, still fuming as she recalled what happened that morning.

She had just arrived at the airport when someone whisked her into a luxury car. She didn't get a chance to say no—and now she was here, way too late.

"Lisa or Vira… who's supposed to be my bride?" Vino muttered to himself.

"Whatever!" Vira snapped. "All I know is it's not me! I came here to go to college—not to get married!"

Vino sighed. "Then what about the vows we just made in front of the priest? Doesn't that mean anything to you?"

"What vows?" Vira looked at him, completely confused.

"You said you'd marry me, be my wife, have kids, and live with me until my dad hands over his fortune!"

"What?! That's insane!" Vira looked horrified. "I never agreed to anything like that!"

"Seriously?" Vino pointed his finger at her chest. "You're telling me you know nothing?"

"Hey! Watch your finger!" Vira snapped, swatting his hand away.

"I don't know what deal you're talking about, but it has nothing to do with me," she said, turning toward the door. "I'm leaving."

But first, she needed to change out of the wedding dress and clean her face.

She caught a glimpse of herself in her phone camera and gasped.

*Wow, I look like a disaster…*

But then, something clicked.

"Wait a second... What exactly were we 'blessing before God' just now?" she asked.

Vino smirked and nodded, confirming her suspicion.

She had just married this stranger—what was his name again?

"Vino… right, Vino." Vira's voice trembled. "So… can I go home now?"

Vino narrowed his eyes at her.

"Sorry to break it to you, but I had to get married right away—legally—so I can inherit my father's fortune. If I didn't, my younger brother would get everything if he married first. So forget about leaving. You're my wife now."

"But Lisa was your bride, not me!"

"Lisa, Visa, Day-after-tomorrow—doesn't matter. What matters is: I'm married. End of story. Now go take a shower."

He tossed her a towel.

Vira caught it, her face twisting in shock.

*Shower? Oh no. Does that mean… he wants to sleep with me?!*

She clutched the towel to her chest, panic on her face.

"What's wrong with you?" Vino asked.

"You told me to shower. That means you want to sleep with me!" she shouted, backing away.

Vino stepped closer, bringing his face near hers.

*He's going to kiss me!!*

"Please," he groaned. "Just look in the mirror!"

He pointed toward the vanity.

Vira turned and saw herself—mascara smudged, hair messy, makeup ruined.

"Oh my God. Who is that? A swamp witch?" she muttered, hurrying to the bathroom. "Please tell me where the exit is... I need to get out of here."

Vino folded his arms and watched her go.

"I'm losing my mind. How could I end up with a girl like that?" he muttered.

"All women are the same. I don't need love. I just need my father's inheritance."

But deep down, even he didn't believe that. One day, love would hit him hard—and when it did, even cat poop would taste like chocolate.

Just wait and see.
