Qin Jingbai was truly startled. She immediately jumped back a step, her eyes wide. Staring at Xu Fang in disbelief, she asked, "You know me?"
"This is the first time we've met. I've studied fortune-telling," Xu Fang began, using the same spiel he had on Wang Zilian to hoodwink Qin Jingbai.
"You can even figure out a person's name?" Qin Jingbai's face was filled with incredulity. She pointed at Xu Fang and declared, "You must know me!"
"Have you ever seen me before?" Xu Fang asked.
"No."
"Are you some kind of celebrity?" Xu Fang asked again.
"No," Qin Jingbai shook her head.
"Well then, how could I possibly know you? And what would I gain by tricking you?" Xu Fang retorted.
"What else can you tell me then?" Qin Jingbai remained unconvinced.
"I can see that the path of your romantic fortune has been broken. I'd guess you were recently divorced," Xu Fang stated confidently.
A flicker of shock appeared in Qin Jingbai's eyes. She pressed him, "What else can you figure out?"
