Both sides of the married couple fell prey to long conversations. Liiza talked with Jenna, while Khan dealt with Ilman, and it was unclear which one had it worse.
Khan and Ilman's silver lining lay in their drinks, but the latter was also more troublesome than Jenna. That probably led to a draw between the two strangely similar situations, but neither Khan nor Liiza was trying to win anything there.
Yet, the two conversations fatefully, or due to more pressing matters, ended at the same time. Khan completed his report while talking with Ilman and forwarded it to the single ship still hovering around his vessel. His part was done there, so it was time for Jenna to get to work.
Jenna and Liiza returned to the bridge, with the former happily clinging to the latter's right elbow. The two aliens were quite a sight, which left Khan and Ilman speechless longer than they would admit while they waited by the control desk.
