Inside a private room in the high end restaurant owned by Zhang Group:
"Yichan, Have you really decided to move to the US?" - asked Zhao Yang.
Looking at his friend, Zhang Yichan nodded his head while he looked at the menu.
Zhang Yichan and Zhao Yang studied together from their kinder garden, near leaving each others side. Their families are close just like them.
"What about Aunt and Uncle? Have you told them? and what about the company? Are you really leaving everything behind and going away?"
"Mom and dad are not happy but at least they are not against it and the US branch needs someone to be there all the time anyway. And maybe later, the company HQ can be moved to US when everything is under control." - answered Yichan.
"what do you mean to move the HQ? are you not coming back at all?" - questioned Zhao Yang.
Looking at his best fried, Yichan slowly nodded his head. He was about to say something when he heard someone talking on the phone while opening the door to the private room they are in.
Turning towards the voice, he saw the person who was on the phone.
Looking at the person, though Zhang Yichan's expression remained unchanged, his usual frosty eyes had an extreme gentleness in them and he had a very tiny smile hanging on his lips. Anybody sitting closer to him could tell that his entire aura changed.
looking at him, Zhao yang who was looking at him sighed before asking in a low voice,
"Yichan, Is it really worth it?"
Without taking his eyes of the person who was talking on the phone, Yichan answered, "there is nothing worth more than her in my life."
Hearing his answer Zhao Yang simply shook his head at his friend.
His best friend is one of the richest man in the Country S. He is a complete package of handsome, genius and a rich bachelor.
Any women in the Country S would be willing to be with him without a single question. but this guy is stuck on one woman his whole life who doesn't look at him like he hung the stars.
Usually in his business, he works hard to get everything he wants. Taking risks is something he gets his boost from and all the risks he had taken only led him to be the top CEO. Everybody in the office calls him the Cold hearted CEO.
He took over Zhang Corporation and made it a top most company within a small span of time after he became CEO. He is very intelligent, talented and passionate. He is ruthless.
but for some reason when it comes to the woman he loved, he is the biggest coward Zhao yang has seen.
Chen Yumi made her way to the table Zhao Yang and Zhang Yichan were sitting.
"were you guys waiting for long?" - asked Chen Yumi before pulling a chair to sit beside Yichan.
"we arrived not long ago"- answered Zhao yang.
"where is Li Jing, is she not here yet?" - asked Chen yumi.
the men shook their heads indicating they have no idea about Li Jing's whereabouts.
Chen Yumi pulled her phone out to call her friend Li Jing. But before she could give a call, there came a shrill voice from behind making them all turn their heads.
"Hello, my beautiful friends and Zhao Yang" - greeted Li Jing sitting beside Chen Yumi.
"why are you late?" - asked Zhao Yang looking at her.
"Blind date." - She said as a matter of fact.
"Blind date? suddenly? didn't you say you want to enjoy being single for a few more years just yesterday?"- asked Yumi.
sighing loudly, Li Jing narrowed her eyes at Zhang Yichan and said
"Since Brother Yichan is moving to US, my grandparents focus suddenly turned onto me and now I am the one who is being forced to get married."
Chen Yumi was confused. "huh? brother yichan is moving to US?" - asked Chen Yumi.
raising her eyebrows, Li Jing suggestively looked at Yichan and answered in a dramatic voice, "you don't know? Brother Yichan is moving to US tomorrow to settle down there. and that is why we are gathered here to bid him goodbye. oh did I mention he is never coming back?"
"What?" - she was surprised.
during this discussion, the person who was being talked about, was in his own dreamland,
from the moment Yumi sat down beside him, Zhang Yichan was solely focused on her, even though he is not looking directly at her. his whole focus was on her.
he was completely mesmerised by her.
Looking at his friend who seemed normal on the outside but has a slightest hint of smile on his face, Zhao Yang shook his head and nudged him.
who other than him knows this stupid friend's brain when it comes to Yumi. he has seen Zhang Yichan go crazy over slightest things about yumi.
there was a time when they were in high school, yumi was complaining to Li Jing about how sad she was that she couldn't find a certain flavoured chocolate that was her favourite because the company got shut down, Yichan went crazy to find the owner with the help of his family, and got those chocolates made for her.
From then on,Yumi would receive a package of those chocolates every month. first she was suspicious about it but when Xu Hao, her fiancé hinted her about them, she thought that it was from him, she believed it. after all it wasn't hard for Xu Hao's family to do this given the status of them in the society.
Friendship and Past:
Zhao Yang, Zhang Yichan, Chen Yumi, Li Jing- were all in the same school and friends from childhood.
while Li Jing and Yumi are from the same class, Zhao yang and Zhang Yichan were a year ahead of the girls.
Zhao, Zhang and Li families were the top families in country S while Yumi herself isn't someone from a very rich family.
Zhang Yichan's father and Li Jing's father are siblings.
whereas Chen Yumi was born in the Chen family which was said to be elite too but only her name has Chen in it. she isn't anywhere close to them.
the only person who she is attached to from the Chen family other than her father is her grandmother.
