Rena Riley barely managed to keep herself from overreacting to Zeph's sudden disappearance from the cockpit, mostly because she was beginning to suspect that there was a lot more to his wings than what he told her after the sun went down, and partially because of it sounded like he was about to leave her alone to handle those tasks.
At first, she thought that he was just joining to slide down the carbon fiber ropes to the ground so he could deal with the big fella personally, but now she was guessing that he used his wings and moved faster than she was able to track with her eyes. He had already shown her the trick where he could his presence or people's perception of him using part of his full extent of authority as a Level Zero Administrator, she wasn't overly shocked when she couldn't even spot him using the thermal camera.
