Her eyes widened in disbelief as he revealed his true identity. She couldn't believe what she was hearing - the devil himself standing right in front of her. It felt like she was living in a nightmare, and any moment she would wake up and find herself safe in her own bed. "You're the devil?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. Rain chuckled darkly, a sinister glint in his eyes. "Yes, my dear," he said, taking a step closer to her. "I am the one and only Rain Asmodeus Silva, ruler of the underworld, demon of the lust." Her heart raced as she tried to wrap her mind around this new reality. How could the devil himself be standing in front of her, talking to her like it was just another day? But then, he gestured towards the door. "Now, if you would be so kind as to touch the door, we can get out of here," he said, his voice dripping with venom. She knew she had no choice but to comply. With trembling hands, she touched the door, and to her surprise, white shiny particles emerged from Rain's hand helping her, opening the door with a soft click. Daisy shifted uncomfortably under Rain's intense gaze. Even though she knew he was a demon, and had seen him use his powers to unlock the door, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of her stomach whenever he looked at her like that. "I can't sleep if you keep looking at me like that." "I'm sorry," he said, his voice low and smooth like velvet but sarcastic. Because of course why would a demon apologize. "I forget sometimes that humans need to sleep." Daisy scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, we do. So can you stop staring at me and go do whatever it is demons do at night?" Rain smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, I have plenty to keep me occupied. Like fucking you. That's what I am best at. Would you want me to?" Rain's voice was low and deep, sending shivers down Daisy's spine. She sat up from her bed with wide eyes. "What are you saying!? That's-- no. You can't do that to me!" He walked towards her bed and leaned down closer to her, enjoying how her breath hitched while heart pounded hard in her chest. He chuckled, "Relax, sweetheart. I was only teasing. Although, I must say, the idea does have a certain appeal," he added, his voice low and seductive. Daisy gulped. Her mind suddenly filled with sexual stuff with the boy beside him, and staring at his so handsome face didn't help. She shook her head, "No, no, no, no, no," She pushed him slightly. "Shut up. Shut up." He smirked, "You're blushing." He sat down on her bed beside her, "What were you thinking?" Daisy avoided his gaze, feeling her cheeks burning with embarrassment. "I am not blushing," she protested weakly. Rain laughed, "Oh, you definitely are." He leaned closer, his warm breath brushing against her ear as he whispered, "But don't worry, darling. Your secret's safe with me." Daisy's heart skipped a beat as she felt his lips brush against the sensitive skin of her neck. She pushed him away, "Stop it, please." "Okay, okay. I'll stop." He sat down on her bed beside her. There was a moment of silence. He wasn't saying anything but Daisy figured it was something about the curse. "Do you want to talk about the curse?" "Yes!" He instantly replied, like he was waiting for this question, and then coughed. "Yes." He spoke calmly. "What about it?" "I don't know...It's just that I don't anything about it. I just know that I have this curse. And it keeps me in this demon form. It's suffocating..." He glanced at her, reading her expression, not knowing if he should say all this, if he could trust her. "Living like this. I was trapped for I can't even remember how long. I want to be free. I don't care what it costs me." His eyes darkened, then all of a sudden as he looked at her, "You know I can destroy you, right? You don't have a choice. You help me find a way to break this curse." Daisy swallowed hard, feeling the weight of his words. She knew he was powerful, and the thought of him destroying her was terrifying. But she also felt a sense of compassion towards him, understanding the pain of being trapped and wanting to be free. She nodded, "I will help you." "You better." "We will go to the library and search for the books, okay?" She whispered softly. "But please don't hurt me or anyone." He stared at her for a long minute, and then nodded. "Yes. Okay." She sighed in relief, trusting him, as she could do nothing but trust. "Now, I'll sleep. And don't look at me." She said, pouting slightly, "I can't sleep with a demon watching me." Rain hesitated for a moment, as if he didn't want to leave her room, but eventually stood up. "I'll see you tomorrow," he said before disappearing through the door. Daisy watched him go, her mind still reeling from the conversation. She knew that helping him break the curse wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to try. And she slept, strangely enough, she slept good. When she woke up, she found Rain to be nowhere. Was last night just a dream? "No. It wasn't a dream." A face popped behind her, near her neck and she jumped up from the bed. Rain smiled, proud of the trick he just played on her. "Good morning, sweetheart. Shall we go to library now?" "You scared me," She mumbled angrily. "And no. First, I have to brush, change my clothes, and eat breakfast." "Would you like some of my help in that?" He asked, causing her to scrunch her eyebrows up, confused, "With what? Breakfast?" "No, my dear, changing clothes." Her eyes widened and she shook her head. "No! Why can't you just stay quiet! Be quiet." Rain chuckled and waited for her.
