A young male Mage sighed as he looked at Vera, who was sharing her post-graduation findings. He sighed and said, "How did a Shape-shifting genius end up like this?"
As the person being lamented about, Vera didn't mind at all. She smiled awkwardly and said, "I'm not that eager about it anymore. I've found a safer method for eternal life, far more stable than a one-time resurrection from the Sage's Stone."
Carrying the Sage's Stone would at most allow a one-time resurrection after being killed, but it was nowhere near as comfortable and carefree as entrusting one's soul to Yila... and then giving the Sage's Stone to Yila.
There were drawbacks to the Sage's Stone's resurrection. After resurrection, one's wind Mana was in a halted state, unable to be used for a very long time... So, if one were killed in battle, they would be resurrected only to be immediately killed again.
But if it was given to Yila...
