The first rays of dawn lit the eastern sky, brushing the peaks outside Moon Lotus City with golden light. Jin stood alone on a flat cliffside, shirt off, fists clenched, body trembling.

  "99…"

He gritted his teeth, sweat pouring down his bronze-gleaming body.

  "100."

[Quest Progress: Push-ups – Complete.]

The system chimed again.

He moved straight into squats, his thighs burning, breathing controlled. The Tyrant Body – Bronze Form surged under his skin, making every movement more precise… more powerful.

Lana had said nothing when he slipped out before sunrise. But he had seen it in her eyes—the pride, the worry, the suspicion. She deserved answers. He just needed time.

As he dropped into a horse stance, the wind picked up.

His breath slowed.

The Paragon Heaven Manual whispered in his bones, guiding his movements. With each breath, he could feel the wind attribute inside his meridians begin to stir—light, elusive, but responsive.

[Horse Stance Breaths: 56 / 100]

[Wind Attribute Progress: 7%]

Then the system surprised him:

[System Notice: Daily Quest Progress Impressive – Hidden Potential Detected]

[Wind Element Training Challenge: Unlocked]

[Optional Objective: Maintain balance during natural wind burst for 60 seconds]

The wind howled. A storm was rolling in.

Jin planted his feet deeper and spread his arms, letting the elements roar around him. The gusts slammed into his torso like hammers—but his eyes remained open, calm, resolute.

His hair whipped around his face, yet he remained unmoved.

[Challenge Complete – +2% Wind Progress, +10 EXP]

He exhaled, stood tall—and smiled. The training was far from over.

But it would have to wait.

Today was the Eastern Gold Auction, and Lana had been invited personally by Arielle Mercantile.

 At the Auction Hall…

The auction hall was massive—carved from marble and sapphire glass, with hundreds of cushioned seats rising around a central circular stage. The atmosphere was buzzing with nobles, cultivators, merchants, and cloaked figures of power.

Jin walked beside his mother, who looked stunning in a new robe he'd bought her—lavender with silver threads.

Arielle found them quickly and offered a reserved but warm smile.

  "I'm glad you came."

Lana returned the smile and gave Jin a look.

He was still stiff around girls, but Arielle had a gentle elegance that even he couldn't ignore.

They sat.

The auction began with common artifacts—storage rings, rare herbs, a spirit-tier alchemy cauldron—but Jin's system lit up when a special lot appeared:

[Detected: Spirit Beast Core – Level 2]

[Requirement for Body Refinement Stage 3: 10 cores – 0/10]

The starting bid was high. Jin narrowed his eyes—but just before he raised his hand…

A hand from the noble seats bid twice the value.

"Four hundred gold from Young Lord Han of the Elder Council," the auctioneer announced.

Jin looked up.

A face he recognized. One of the young masters from the inn fight, heavily bandaged, smirking.

  "So he's still watching me…"

Jin clenched his fist but said nothing. For now.

They watched as more items passed: a soul-bound jade, a mystic wind flute, and finally—a sealed case covered in golden runes.

The auctioneer smiled wider.

"Final item: An unknown relic. Found pulsing beside a dormant dragon vein. Not yet identified."

Jin's blood froze.

[System Alert: Dragon Bloodline Resonance Detected.]

[Relic Contains Draconic Essence – Value Unknown]

He could feel it. Whatever was in that box—it called to him.

Far Away… in the Royal Capital

Second Queen Molana paced inside her private chamber, her robe soaked in rosewater and rage.

  "All four assassins. Dead."

Captain Roger knelt, head bowed, blood still staining the corner of his lips.

  "He's stronger than expected…"

"No," she snapped. "You're weaker than expected."

She turned, eyes glowing with dark qi.

"I will not allow that woman or her spawn to ruin my plans. If you can't kill him—"

The doors opened, and a figure entered silently.

A tall, robed man, face hidden behind a bone-white mask, silver chain hanging from his sleeve.

  "Shadowblade greets Her Grace."

Molana smiled like a serpent.

  "Finally… someone competent."

 Back at the Auction…

Jin felt a cold ripple crawl down his spine. A killing intent, distant but deliberate.

[System Warning: A powerful assassin has entered the city. Threat Level: Extreme.]

He glanced at Lana.

  Not here. Not now.

He took her hand gently.

  "Let's go."

  "But the auction—"

"We'll get what we need later. Trust me."

They slipped out quietly. No one noticed the way Jin scanned every shadow, every rooftop, every corner.

The hunt had already begun again.
