A razor sharp net of brilliant light targeted Yang Chen, cutting off all of his escape routes. In response, the latter simply stood his ground and stayed still. To others, it looked like he had given up even before the battle had begun.
"Hehe, even if you beg now, I won't stop. I will make you feel a hell lot of hurt. This is for insulting me".
The net arrived and passed through Yang Chen, cutting him into numerous pieces, or so it should have been. The latter's figure which hadn't moved from its place, suddenly distorted and disappeared like a mirage.
What was hit by that net was just an afterimage.
"Is that all you got?" A voice whispered behind his ears.
Jiang Zhi immediately turned around and jumped back, his expression one of shock and disbelief. He was sure that the person was right in front of him until the last second. Yet when his attack hit, it passed through an afterimage, and the actual person was just a few steps behind him.
What did that mean?
