He entered the villa.
Dean immediately noticed something was amiss.
Although the inside of the villa couldn't be described as empty, there was not a single piece of valuable furniture or appliance in sight, which was clearly abnormal for a detached villa worth over two million US dollars!
Dean walked through the living room, arriving at the spot where the handyman had fallen.
It was a bar area.
At one corner of the bar, fresh bloodstains were still visible.
The handyman must have lost his footing there, hit his head on the corner of the bar, and consequently been injured and fainted.
Dean squatted down for a closer look.
On the side of the bar near the floor, there were upward blood spatters. The blood was bright red and relatively fresh, likely flung there when the handyman fell—a normal trace.
Suddenly, Dean's gaze fixed on a corner farther from the bar.
A few inconspicuous drops of blood were there too.
