Getting past all of this both going in and then back out without getting spotted was going to take some serious planning on my part. Luckily I could make this plan without any real pressure as I had little doubt that the plate was proving hard to figure out for the league. It's obvious function as a boosting item for it's typing was easy to figure out but the people at the league weren't stupid enough to think that alone was why I was so fervently searching for the plates.-
The Unknown runic inscription on the back will likely be the focus of their research for some time as they try to figure out what it means. They may also notice that the plate is immutable after trying to scrape off some of it for material scans. To put it bluntly the deceptively simple appearing plate will quickly start showing signs of it's truly mysterious side with enough testing. Frankly if I wasn't trying to speedrun my evolution into a god I'd probably let them experiment on the thing to their hearts content as I had plenty of time to wait.-
My rush was not because I was feeling limited by my lifespan so much as how fucking dangerous this world was for me before I become a god. Even well down the path as I am I could still be killed fairly easily all things considered. My body compared to most species of pokemon was frail and only needed a single powerful attack to break beyond repair. My aura and abilities helped cover this weakness but even that had limits to how much it could protect me from. Without the guarantee of eternal life that godhood offered I was in danger still and that was not acceptable.-
My first move of course was to ball up my team and fly to Solaceon town on Rune's back. The ruins of the same name were directly to the east of the town. This town itself was a small place with the majority of the buildings being made of wood with the sole exceptions being the pokecenter and pokemart. There was a pokemon daycare service in the western part of the town and a small sign on a house that read "Unknown seal maker" that drew my interest.-
I walked up to the door of this house and knocked on the door to see what was going on. To my surprise a young boy maybe ten or twelve opened the door eagerly. "You are here because of the sign right!?" the boy asked excitedly. I nodded "Yes, I know Unknown but I've never heard of an Unknown sealer, that's you I assume?" I said curiously and he nodded. "See I just LOVE the mysteriousness of the Unknown and how they are all in the shape of some ancient language. I use captured Unknown as the base for decorative seals for pokeballs so when the balls are opened the letters pop up as well!" he said with a proud look.
'That sounds incredibly dangerous. Maybe only a few places away from actual Unknown runes in fact.' I thought slightly concerned. "Can you show me an example by chance? It sounds like it might be quite interesting." I said with a smile. He thought about it for a moment before nodding and taking out a plain looking pokeball from his pocket that my gaze immediately narrowed in on to look over closely. He clicked the button while pointing the ball to the side and as the red beam of energy came out three golden letters also burst out of the ball into the air above it Y, A and another Y to spell out yay.-
I sighed in relief however as they were just normal english letters with the eyes and curves missing that true Unknown runes had, in other words harmless. "Interesting stuff, must be popular in the Hoenn pageants." I said not letting anything slip. The boy looked distressed as he shook his head "NO! Seals are a unique item here in Sinnoh and so no one uses them in pageants at all! I can't advertise them either as I'm just eleven and no one takes me seriously online." he said frustrated.-
"I see. I can put in a good word with the Stones in Hoenn if you'd like?" I offered casually. The boy froze and squinted at me suspiciously "How do you know the Stones?" he asked disbelievingly. I chuckled "I have done a fair bit of personal business with the Senior Stone and can be considered an acquaintance of Steven. I also happen to be a master alchemist with several of my potions being commercially sold. I am also the origin of the healing grass type move that showed up about a year and a half ago. All things you can confirm by the way." I said with a chuckle.-
The boy's eyes nearly pop out of his skull "You're Alexander Drake! The variant specialist and savage saint!" he said in amazement and with a star struck expression. I grimaced at that second title "I'm no saint but yes that's me." I said with a shrug. "Did you really hunt down two whole criminal groups all by yourself?" he asked eagerly. "Aqua and Magma yes. Just between us I also took down Galactic too, keep it to yourself though." I said and the boys eyes shined. "Of course! You can count on me sir!" he said saluting dramatically.-
I chuckled at that "Relax kid it's not that big a deal even if you were to tell everyone you know. The leagues just keeping it under wraps to keep people from causing a stink since I've taken out three of the four most well know criminal groups in the world." I said not caring at all to expose the league on this. When it was just Aqua and Magma the argument could be made it was a matter of convenience since they were both in Hoenn but Galactic was literally in the furthest place from Hoenn you could go.-
Exact opposite side of the world in fact just on different hemispheres. If it were to become public I took down Galactic as well voices would show up demanding answers about the leagues effectiveness which would open the door to a whole host of other troubles. The leagues dominance only worked because everyone saw the effectiveness of a single overarching organization with universal rules everyone followed. If doubt about the organizations need arose it may lead to civil war as people choose sides. Things would get ugly FAST if that were to come about.
