William King sat there showing no signs of being moved, instead, he curled the corner of his mouth with a disdainful laugh.
"Miss Carter, the gap between you and your brother is indeed not small," William King shook his head, he could be friends with James Carter, but with Jillian Carter, he couldn't even hold a conversation.
Even an additional word felt like a waste of saliva.
"What, do you think 200,000 is too little?" Jillian Carter never intended to compare herself with her brother. She knew from childhood that her brother was excellent, with good academic grades and inheriting their mother's musical talent.
So, William King's comment didn't stir much within her; no matter how excellent or good her brother was, he was always her brother, she didn't feel the need to compare herself with her own family.
