Ging heard this and thought about the clues he had left behind in his hometown, Whale Island, regarding "Greed Island."
He figured that as long as Gon returned to Whale Island, Mito, no matter how much she disliked him, would probably give the clues to Gon.
Mito was Ging's cousin, a beautiful but single woman.
Ging still remembered how that tough and strong woman took away Gon's custody from him.
In fact, at that time, Ging was not in a position to care for Gon. He simply didn't have the time or energy.
So, Mito actually took on that responsibility herself, helping him so he could continue his Hunter journey without worry.
Because of this, Ging felt grateful to Mito, even though he never expressed it.
"Then let him come. Let him come to 'Greed Island.' If he can clear the current 'Greed Island Z,' he'll at least be 'elite-level.'"
"With that, he'll have the qualification to follow in my footsteps and, along the way, find his own future."
As Germain's strength and status grew, his earlier proposal for a "Nen user ranking system" was increasingly recognized by others.
Ging adopted this "Nen user ranking system" here.
He wasn't being too harsh on Gon with his expectations, after all, Ging himself had followed a similar path.
Ging had walked his own Hunter journey by chasing after his ancestor, Don Freecss's footsteps.
He believed that his son, Gon, could achieve the same.
Bisky then seriously handed the photo to Ging: "You really have high expectations for your son. You should put it away."
Ging hesitated for a moment but then took the photo, casually shoving it into his pocket.
He really wanted to show the side of him that wasn't tied down by family and emotions, but no one in the room believed him, so he decided not to hide it anymore.
Germain continued, "Apart from challenging the dangerous mountain range, we also have a secondary task."
"The chairman, Netero, has brought in Pyon to help us decipher the 'New World Chronicles: Western Fragment,' but she needs more texts from the Dark Continent, especially texts in different languages."
With his exceptional language talent, Ging nodded, "Actually, on this point, I have a similar opinion to Pyon, so I've already started collecting various types of texts."
"But the 'Moose Centaur Script' and the languages they're familiar with don't add up to much. They can't even recognize the other types of text in the 'New World Chronicles: Western Fragment.'"
"I estimate that the species these texts belong to are quite far from here and have no connection with the Moose Centaur tribe."
"However, the Moose Centaur tribe has promised that during the next 'Subhuman Alliance' meeting, they'll try to help us gather more languages and texts."
Germain nodded, "That's good. It's the best we can do for now."
After that, they discussed what little information they had on the dangerous mountain range and the current status of 'Greed Island Z,' before heading down from the tower's top floor.
Bisky held one hand each, pulling Germain and Shizuku, walking at the front of the group.
"Come, come, come, let me show you the state of the castle. At least everyone has their own room now, although the rooms are empty, with just a wooden bed."
Upon hearing this, Germain turned to look at Shizuku.
Shizuku noticed his gaze and turned around to meet his eyes.
She curiously blinked, as if wondering why Germain was looking at her like that.
"Shizuku? Did you forget? You brought the 'gift.'"
"Huh? Hm... Ah." Shizuku suddenly remembered, "Oh, right."
Bisky asked in surprise, "What 'gift'? Did you bring a 'gift' over?"
Soon, she got her answer.
While touring each room in the "Ancient Labyrinth Castle," Shizuku's "Blinky" didn't stop working, continuously spitting out things.
Sofas, tables, chairs, blankets in the living room, iron pots, knives, spatulas in the kitchen, large beds, quilts, pillows in the rooms, and more.
In just under fifteen minutes, the whole "Ancient Labyrinth Castle" started looking more like a place where humans lived.
Not only that, but Shizuku also brought special gifts for everyone staying behind at the "Ancient Labyrinth."
Of course, the majority of these ideas and the gifts themselves were picked out by Dwun and List.
Ging received three suitcases of books, all the ones he had left at the "Limeiro Castle" library. That should be enough to pass the time.
Bisky received dresses, accessories, perfumes, and a full set of makeup tools, since her supplies were almost running out.
Menchi and Buhara got fresh meats, vegetables, flour, sauces, and more from the Six Continents.
As for Sanbica, she got various medicines, jars, and containers.
Still, Bisky couldn't help but complain.
"Staying on the 'Dark Continent' for half a year... I'm really starting to miss the air conditioning, TVs, and computers from the Six Continents..."
"And refrigerators!" Menchi reminded from the side, "It would make storing food so much easier."
"TVs and computers won't be so easy," Germain said, "But once we get the 'Unmanned Rock', we could power the whole 'Ancient Labyrinth Castle.' Then we can bring over the air conditioners and refrigerators."
Bisky, Menchi, Buhara, and Sanbica couldn't help but imagine the future after they got their hands on the 'Unmanned Rock.'
Even without the 'Unmanned Rock,' they at least had a small diesel generator, which was enough to supply the "Ancient Labyrinth Castle" with light at night.
As for the water sources, there are four: the first is rainwater, the second is the "Greed Island Resource Cards," the third is lakes and rivers outside the "Ancient Labyrinth," and the fourth is the filtration from the Sea of Blood.
Overall, the conditions here are still quite harsh.
However, they are willing to endure this hardship, holding on to the base like stubborn residents, in order to explore more resources from the "Dark Continent."
And they did indeed reap the rewards.
The map drawn by Ging has expanded to cover a range of several dozen kilometers outside the "Ancient Labyrinth," and it's still growing.
Bisky traded with the Moose Centaur Tribe and got a gem the size of an ostrich egg. She was thrilled about it for quite a long time.
Menchi and Buhara added many unique dishes to their recipe list, some of which were reflected in today's dinner.
Sanbica, in communication with the Moose Centaur Tribe, learned many healing methods that seemed primitive, but were quite normal on the "Dark Continent."
After resting for a night at the "Ancient Labyrinth Castle," the group gathered again to discuss the trip to the treacherous mountains.
"The 'Ancient Labyrinth Castle' needs someone to stay behind," Ging reminded them. "The Moose Centaur Tribe will come trade with us once a week, so we need someone to host them."
Germain looked around at everyone and realized they needed to use the process of elimination to select who would go and who would stay behind.
He, Ging, Bisky, Morel, and Shizuku—the five main combatants—definitely had to go to the "Treacherous Mountains."
Besides them, Bisky, Morel, and Shizuku also had supporting abilities like "stress relief," "scouting," and "transportation," so it made sense for them to go too.
Next was Sanbica, who was in charge of medical care, so she should be in the team as well.
Menchi and Buhara were both in charge of food, so they could be swapped out. In the end, Germain chose Menchi.
That left Knuckle.
He had knowledge of "beast hunting," but it was from the "Six Continents," not the "Dark Continent."
As for his combat strength, he wasn't among the top in the group.
However, he can play a role in supplementing the team's strength and protecting the logistical members.
His Nen ability can also prove to be highly effective at certain times, which is why he was included in the team.
With this, the list of members heading to the "Dangerous Mountain Range" was finalized. Eight Nen users, including Germain, would set out, while Buhara would remain at the "Ancient Labyrinth Castle."
They began making their final preparations.
For instance, they went to the Moose Centaur Tribe to imprint "Alchemy Plant: Water Element Enchantment" onto Morel's large pipe, while also allowing Morel and Knuckle to familiarize themselves with the environment between the "Ancient Labyrinth" and the Moose Centaur Tribe.
Finally, they planned to depart on March 1st, beginning their journey of teleportation and challenges.
