I Didn't Expect Ability to Be So Effective. Although I didn't want to believe what Hanagawa said, it seemed he was right. Before I could think any further, Sensei entered the class and greeted us with a 'Good morning.'

Sensei started giving information about Japanese culture. He asked us to take notes about festivals, holidays, historical figures, and important dates. As we approached the middle of the lesson, Sensei took a break and underlined the topic he was discussing with a red pen.

"As you know, winter is coming to an end. Spring is approaching, so we, along with all the other senseis, want you to start preparing for the school festival that will be held next month."

"Preparing? What do we do?" Many students in the class asked the same question.

"You are free to do whatever you want, as long as you're confident in it. On the day of the festival, the class that has the best time at the festival, as judged by participants and jury teachers, will receive extra points."

Many students were overjoyed to hear Sensei's words. At that moment, what was on my mind was thinking about what we could do on the festival day.

"Decide as a whole class, and then give your best performance accordingly," Sensei asked who would take care of the class, waiting for an answer.

At that moment, the second popular student in our class stood up. Yosuke Hirata, a slightly blonde boy with brown eyes, made himself known.

When the bell for the break rang, Sensei organized his bag and stood up from the chair he was sitting in to leave the classroom.

During the break, many female students gathered around Hirata, asking if he was sure about this. However, it seemed that Hirata's decision was final, so he rejected all the offers and went to the front of the blackboard, picking up the chalk.

Hirata wanted to know our thoughts while everyone was still in the classroom.

"How about a Maid Cafe?" The slightly overweight, bespectacled boy in our class suggested, and all the girls looked at it with a disgusted expression.

All the girls replied, "Rejected."

"Finn-san, what do you think?" Hirata-san looked into my eyes and asked, curious about my thoughts.

"Maybe we can perform a game that all participants will enjoy."

"Oh," Hirata, who heard what I said, seemed to want me to continue speaking with interest.

"Maybe we can do a dance performance or a theater play. Or a choir performance. After all, many people who are members of these clubs are in our class."

"Yes, Finn-san is right. Why don't we do something like that?"

All the girls took my words seriously and agreed.

"So, how about a Musical Theater play with a dance performance?"

"That's it, Hirata-san!" All the girls warmly welcomed Hirata's idea. Finally, we had decided what to do on the festival day.

After a few hours, the lunch break finally came. I intend to use a secret place I discovered when I went to the gym earlier, away from everyone, especially away from Rika.

The place I found was a wooded area behind the gym, created by an opening in the fences. It was both shady and hidden behind the gym, so no one could see it.

Finally, I could have my lunch alone. Moreover, after finishing my meal, I could go to the gym without wasting too much time. Because I was already standing right next to the gym.
