Chapter 2217 - 16. Nonexistent Regions (32)

The biggest difference between drone warfare and traditional human warfare is the presence or absence of the consciousness of "preserving life".

Biological entities fight to preserve life. Eating, mating, evading — the most primal reasons for battle revolve around these, which themselves aim to extend one's own and one's group's survival. As beings evolve to intelligent life forms, although the reasons for fighting include various interests and ideological conflicts, they ultimately cannot escape the grand theme of "allowing oneself or one's species to gain better living conditions," strictly speaking, it is still fighting to preserve life.

Drones do not have such a reason.

As pure weapons, the sole reason drones exist in the world is to "kill the enemy." Any means is allowed as long as this goal can be achieved.

A mutual destruction — of course, is included.
