"Mother, you, you're also taking her side! You're siding with her too!" Shi Yumei's voice was filled with both shame and annoyance, her eyes already reddening.
Mrs. Wang's heart softened for a moment, but still, she toughened up and coldly retorted, "I am not taking anybody's side, I am just being reasonable! You are being completely irrational!"
"Fine, fine! You all dislike me! I'll leave, okay? Is it okay if I leave!" Shi Yumei cried as she stood up.
"You stop right there!" Mrs. Wang's voice trembled with anger, "Very well! Very well! Have you started to dare throw tantrums and talk back to me as well? In this house, are you the ancestor and the Bodhisattva? Even I have to watch my words around you, cater to your every desire, never to speak a word of dissent! Fine, go on then, leave! I want you to leave!"
Shi Yumei was momentarily stunned, her cries abruptly stopping.
