Chapter 218 - Harry's Ultimatum

"You had no right!" Harry yelled as he slammed a fist down onto the table, causing the Weasley's to flinch. Jet hissed loudly for several moments before Harry continued speaking. "Those books, dangerous or not, are Black family property. You had no right to throw them away without permission from myself or Lord Black, something I know you didn't have. That is my property!" Harry said, he used legilimency to see if she had already thrown anything out, thankfully she had not, apparently Harry had managed to get there before she could do anything. Harry was really starting to enjoy being able to use legilimency, though he also made a mental note not to abuse or overuse it. If he did it would only be a matter of time before something bad happened. "If I find out that you have thrown out anything of mine then you can expect to be charged for however much that thing was worth, and if you even try it then I will remind you that all of you have brought valuable things to this property, things that can be thrown out just as easily as these books."

"Um...guys," Sirius spoke up. "this is getting a bit...much. Perhaps..."

"No," Harry cut Sirius off. "it is long past time for this to be fixed, Sirius. You were the one who invited this family without asking the rest of us and we're the ones suffering because of it. I have Voldemort and his fucking death eaters chasing after which is why most of my time is divided between training to not die and relaxing so I don't overwork myself. I am not having my limited relaxation time cut down because of these imbeciles, nor am I having the rest of my family suffer because of them." Harry said before turning back to the Weasley's. "I'm giving you fuckers a couple of options, option one is you get the hell out of this house."

"Your kicking us out?!" Mr Weasley blurted out in shock.

"I'm giving you the option to leave, one which I hope you take." Harry said in a cold voice. "Then there is your second option, you all behave and start paying rent."

"What?!" The Weasley's (with the exception of Ginny) collectively blurted out.

"We've let you stay here for free so far and none of you have been appreciative enough since you seem fine with turning this into a madhouse and messing with our stuff. Bad enough that we have to endure you, no way as hell are we going to do it for free as well." Harry snorted. "And then there is your final option, the option where you refuse both of the previous options, if you do then I personally boot your asses out of here. You have till tomorrow morning to decide between leave, rent and behave or painfully being forced to leave. Choose wisely." Harry said before he turned and held out a hand, Thor flew to Harry and landed on top of his hand. Harry nodded to the others before he turned and left the room.

"Harry." Jet said once they left the room.

"Yeah?" Harry asked as he walked away.

"I hope they choose the third one." Jet admitted.

"And as of yet, he is still remaining silent." Dumbledore said partway through a meeting of the order of the Phoenix. "It is my belief that Voldemort plans to stay in the shadows," He said, ignoring the shivers and flinches from others as he said the dark lord's name. "without any proof of his return people will not believe us. It will make it much easier for him to catch them off guard in the future." He added, frowning deeply.

"That will be made all the more easier by the nitwit Fudge." Harry said, also frowning. Ever since the end of the last school year the daily prophet had been releasing a large amount of articles that were painting Dumbledore out to be a mad old fool who was losing his touch with reality. That was something that Harry thought was not entirely inaccurate, especially given the way the man dresses, but they were making it far worse than it actually was. And it was blatantly clear that they were trying to discredit him so less people believed in Voldemort's return.

"Indeed," Dumbledore sighed before turning to Severus Snape. "Severus, what do you have to report?" He asked.

"He-who-must-not-be-named has continued to show interest in Potter," Snape began. "he has instructed Lucius to stop or at the very least reduce the amount of negative press Potter will receive."

"Why?" One order member asked with a frown.

"Because he fully intends for Mr Potter to join him," Snape drawled, glaring at the member for interrupting him. "he believes that the stronger Potter is, the better an asset he will be. If Potter's reputation suffers too much then that makes him less useful."

"The logic is unassailable, with the exception of the fact that I'm never going to join him." Harry replied.

"You think he cares about what a brat like you wants?" Snape sneered at him. "As far as he's concerned you are just a weapon that he desires."

"I think he cares for me more than anyone else cares for you." Harry said with an innocent smile, so naturally this time he was the one receiving a glare from Snape.

"Gentlemen." Dumbledore spoke in a tired voice

"Fine," Harry rolled his eyes before turning to Snape. "here's an important question, whose wand is he using?" Harry asked, "I distinctly remember snapping his." he added.

"The dark lord has been using a spare wand that Macnair has been able to procure," Snape added, he looked like he very much didn't want to talk to Harry but continued to do so. "but he is also experimenting with other wands. He wishes to get a new one, likely from Ollivander as he is well known to be the best wand maker in Britain, but the dark lord is limited in his movements by his desire to stay unnoticed."

"In that case it would probably be wise to alert Ollivander to future dangers." Kingsley Shacklebolt, an auror who used to work with Tonks, said.

"Aye," Mad-Eye Moody nodded in agreement. "we should form an extraction plan as well to get him out if needs be." He added.
