"I only returned home," Apollo said simply, but his presence, calm and absolute, carried a weight words couldn't match.
Leon smiled wryly. "Well, your 'homecoming' has stirred the entire eastern continent like a divine calamity. Especially knowing you have brought very powerful subordinates. Half the court's been scrambling. The nobles want to know what it means. The ministers want to send you gifts. The queen mother even suggested offering a princess."
Apollo nearly choked on his tea.
Leon grinned. "Kidding. Mostly."
They both laughed, and the air between them relaxed. Then Apollo's expression turned more serious.
