Audrey had suggested they shower and eat before she told him everything.
Downstairs, Audrey sat on the sofa, anxiously tapping her fingers together; she was so bothered, Lake seemed too normal for her comfort, she couldn't get her mind to relax. Every second was filled with tension as she wondered what might happen to him.
"You okay, Moma?" Lake asked as he walked over to her with a glass of water, his eyes staring at her with adoration.
Audrey sighed, "I should be asking you that." She replied, gazing at his face as he sat down by her side.
Lake smiled, "Here." He raised the glass of water to her lips.
Audrey took it from him, sipped it, and 9lac3s it down on the table in front of her.
She turned to Lake, "Seriously? You're fine?" She asked.
Lake was busy staring at her face, he didn't answer her question but he slowly leaned in beside her ear and whispered, "I'm glad you're mine, Audrey." His arm snuck around her as he kissed her cheek.
