Atlas and Medusa started making love in the cave, and they went at it for hours until both were out of breath. He was sitting in front of the fire as the older woman cooked the shark meat while he stood up.
His body cracked causing her to comment, grinning. ''Still all stiff? I'll have the others massage you when we return.''
''Sure,'' he muttered before walking toward the edge.
Atlas gazed into the dark water and saw nothing causing him to sigh in relief as he spoke. ''Maybe we can get out of here soon and reach the Achaemenid lands.''
The snake beauty glanced at him and nodded. ''It should be safe enough, the sharks have gone away, it seems.''
As Medusa's words echoed faintly in the damp, cavernous air, a chilling aura surged into the cave like an icy tide, enveloping them in an oppressive weight that prickled their skin and tightened their chests.
