"Damn, it's really different fighting with swords than daggers," I said, jumping away from Uwe to catch my breath.
"Yeah, we will need to get you a teacher," Uwe said, holding his chin and thinking.
"You can teach me," I said, pointing my sword at him.
"I use a double-sided axe," Uwe said, his axe appearing in his hands.
"Ah, I see. Not going to work then, huh? Hmm, can I have two teachers, one for dual-wielding swords and another for lances?" I inquired, glancing at the two swords I held.
"That's not a problem, but why lances?" Uwe asked, looking a bit confused.
"For this, of course," I said, throwing two swords at him in full force.
"I see. I'll have to find someone to help you with swords, but we don't use lances "Uwe thought.
"Ah, I see, so I am on my own," I said, unsurprised or depressed.
"Well, I can get people who can help a bit, but I think you would do better on your own than someone who knows even less about weapons."
"Yes, I am versatile," I responded with a shrug.
"Tootting your own horn, heh."
"Hmm, who?" I felt quite the killing intent, so I looked to the right and saw some small animals running at me.
"Ah, she is here," Uwe said, simply backing away from me.
"Ah, what?" I looked at him, eager for an answer.
"Can you just have a little spar with her? Then you can just go straight through her into the mansion," Uwe whispered with a small smile.
'I thought she would calm down after Uwe talked to her!' I thought, looking at him, then her.
Shrugging, I looked back at the cat girl. Taking a step back, I dodged her attack and countered it by kicking her butt into the mansion, creating a giant explosion.
BOOM!
"Will she be okay?" I asked, peering at her through the smoke, but seeing no movement. Seeing Leah stand next to her, I assumed she tried to catch her, but miserably failed at it.
"I said have a small spar with her, then throw her into the mansion," Uwe said, walking up to her unconscious body.
Putting his hand on her head, a golden light engulfed her, healing her in the process.
"Huh, is the axe element healing? That just doesn't make sense." I tilted my head at him, disregarding his irritation.
"That would be quite weird if that were true," Uwe said, snickering at me.
"… What?"
Uwe smiled and held his finger in front of his mouth, saying, "Please, do not spread the information to everyone."
'Oh, I see he also has two soul weapons.' I nodded in agreement.
"You do realize I can now kill you with that information," I said, raising my eyebrow at him.
'Neither Leah nor Lina said anything about his actions.' Observing Leah and Lina's expressions, I surmised that this was a planned event.
"You can?" Uwe asked, showing no signs of belief.
"Well, it would be quite hard with your speed, but I think I could manage," I said thoughtfully.
"Well, lucky for us, you are not like you were before," Uwe said, smiling at me.
"Tsk, that's true. However, I can sell your information now."
"Something else you won't do," Uwe said, not even looking at me.
"You have quite the confidence in that, don't you?" I said, tilting my head at him.
"Well, I am sure you know what I mean by telling you about this," Uwe said, giving me a kind smile. I have only witnessed this smile on three individuals in my entire existence.
'It's like being back at Doc's house.' I thought again, clicking my tongue and looking away from him.
"Huh, I thought you were fast at noticing the meaning behind people's words," Uwe said, looking surprised at me.
"Stop. I understand. It's just that I am not ready to accept that."
"But you said you were ready to move on?" Leah replied, confused.
"Moving on and accepting a new family are two very different things. Didn't Uwe say you demons understand that you have to earn trust?" I raised an eyebrow at him, expressing my frustration.
"Huh, well, we do, but we also have the word faith," Leah interjected, shrugging at me, making me narrow my eyes at her for a second.
"Tsk, annoying bastard," I said, facepalming in annoyance.
"Hahaha, don't worry. We are not trying to rush anything. Well, don't rush it too much. Take your time, okay? We will wait." Leah laughed at my frustration.
"Thank you."
"Well, I guess our spar is over with this."
"Yeah, I don't want a half-dead girl on the side," I said, putting all three swords into their sheaths.
"Well, now we know you can handle all three of them," Lina said happily.
Indeed, I had anticipated receiving more swords in the future. This feels way better than daggers." I smiled as I gazed at the three swords.
"Don't push it too much."
"Because I might die? Meh, it won't be the first time." I said, shrugging while walking away.
"Sigh, just be careful."
"When the girl wakes up, let me know. I will get everything ready so the two of us can start building my warehouse," I said, waving my hand before teleporting back into my private storage room.
"Alright, now to get all this outside," I said, gazing at the thousands of metal sheets stacked one on top of another. Having
'Not only are they lighter and thinner than my previous ones, but they are also two, if not three times, stronger.' I thought, looking at my 3D printer, RepRep Mark4, moving around and sorting everything out for me while making more 3 by 3-meter metal sheets, each 3cm thick.
"Sigh, I miss RepRep Mark 2. He was so talkative." I reminisced about the AI bot I created before its disintegration.
"Oh, you are already here. How was the talk with our parents?" Sara was lounging on the only couch in the storage room. Something she brought in herself.
"Oh, Sara, it went great. I got more soul-binding swords," I said happily, showing off the two new swords.
"So, you have multiple?" Sara said, not surprised at all.
"Yes, I told you I would be getting more for myself," I said, chuckling at her.
"Sigh, whatever."
"Oh, right. I knocked Selena out as well."
"What?"
"Yeah, I was having a spat with Uwe. She intervened, and when she attacked me, I successfully knocked her unconscious," I explained, shrugging at the explanation.
Sara exclaimed, "Haaah, what the fuck was she thinking—never mind, it actually makes sense why she attacked you," before sighing again.
"Hmm, really? I thought Uwe put her up to it to get her to understand where we stand."
"Yes, he did. She doesn't like you very much, as you've probably noticed. The worst part is that we all said you were stronger than her. However, she interpreted that statement incorrectly." Sara remained motionless as she spoke.
"So, it looks like I am attacking her."
"Yeah, well, Luna will explain everything to her. Obviously, not your past."
"Great, so I'm not sure exactly what I'm getting. Either I am dealing with an embarrassed girl or a racist demon who refuses to listen." I turned my attention to the robot, starting to type on the attached computer, deciding not to discuss Selena further.
"Well, you easily knocked her out, so yes."
"Well, you did say I am the strongest of all siblings," I said, sighing again.
"Well, yes, but that's because you joined the war," Saar said, sounding slightly disappointed, something I will never agree to.
"I guess that's true."
"Well, if any of us joined, I think we would be a lot stronger than we are now, but not stronger than you," Sara said, pumping her fist in the air.
"I actually don't know the answer to that. It might be true, but it is also not. All of you possess soul-bonding weapons, and one of them successfully eliminated an entire rank SSS squad." I replied, shrugging.
"That's the thing. The guy was much older than us. So, we couldn't relate to his skill level. Additionally, you defeated him in a one-on-one match." Sara remarked, feeling her glare on my back."
"That is true. Anyway, you coming with?" I turned around and looked at Sara.
"Oh, you're finally going to start building it," Sara said, jumping off the couch excitedly.
I explained, teleporting to the forest opening I used to create the platform, "Well, we are starting with the building itself today."
"What? Since when did you make that?" Sara pointed at the large platform.
"Mark4 made it through the night. I can't build something like that personally, so I had to have my quiet AI do it last night."
"Ah, I see."
"Yes, let's begin," I exclaimed, clapping my hands.
