"Little Kurao you don't need to make up your progress to impress the people here, looks like you act just like Ella. Like mother like son." Astaria then looks at Ella in disgust.
Nolaya who was also present at the table gets angry and rebuttals her mother for acting childish.
"Mother don't act so rude to Kurao and Miss Ella. It's quite embarrassing to have you defaming people for no reason."
When Nolaya first heard the rumors of her mentor from Aila, she was skeptical about it,
but when she researched in the matter more the rumors started getting more creditable. Just when she decided to just go confirm the rumors for herself yesterday by confronting her mentor.
And she was nothing like the rumors that were being told, and in fact was the opposite, Ella was in a even more joyous mood then before she went off. She was glad that all of it was unfounded, she then caught up with her mentor for the few years of missed time of not meeting.
During the talks she also found out that Kurao was extremely intelligent for his age, being able to comprehend complex topics rather easily, and even learned a about basic rune engraving techniques within a few months which was super rare talent for all races except for young dwarven geniuses who specialize in it. Hearing all of this about her mentor's son and also her little half brother made an impression on her.
"Nolaya you can't talk like that to your mother, seems like you learned to be disrespectful after being gone for so long."
Astaria said in a cold tone towards Nolaya. She then moved her gaze to Ella and said in a confident tone.
"And its not like I lied, Kurao has a history of lying to people that hurt people's reputation, especially about my dear little Awoa."
She then looked at Kurao and saw he had a complete neutral face. Confused on why the child was silent and not changing his expression through all this even though she was saying slanderous things just as she was about to continue talking she was stopped by the little boy speaking up.
"Aunt Astaria, I would like it if you didn't talk rubbish about other people while we are eating or it will ruin people's apatite."
Kurao replies while using a napkin to clean his face a little bit. Kurao then looks at Alex who was eating his breakfast while spectating the conversation.
"Hey Big Brother Alex can you come here a prove that I am not lying about hitting Mana Sensing Stage 2 so Aunt Astaria can stop ruining the meal." Kurao asked Alex with a small smile.
While the people who were before to occupied on their food or in their own conversations have all turned their eyes looked expectantly for Alex's response to Kurao.
Alex seeing all the eyes landing on him sighs to himself as he takes another bite of his breakfast,
before standing up and walking over to Kurao.
"Give me your hand Little Kurao." Alex says as he then grabs the outreached hand of Kurao and puts his grip around his wrist.
Everyone in the dining room stop eating while watching Alex holding Kurao wrist. Kurao felt the stares of everyone in the room, feeling a little excited to proceed with the testing.
'I wonder why I am getting this excited about testing something I already know.' Kurao then looks at Alex waiting for the next step.
"Now circulate the mana for a moment, so I can sense what stage you are at."
Following Alex's order Kurao circulates the mana. As he does he can see Alex's face turns to shock as he exclaims in surprise.
Alex takes a moment to double check before a wide smile grants his face.
"Holy shit, Good job little man you are already Mana Sensing Stage 2 and have made a little bit of progress towards stage 3. You are breaking records left and right in such a short period."
Alex says while nudging the back of Kurao, still surprised over how fast Kurao made it to Mana Sensing Stage 2. Everyone else in the hall had looks of awe over how fast Kurao hit stage 2, but Astaria seems a bit angry and dumbfounded over the fact.
Kurao meanwhile enjoys the reaction of everyone and even inwardly laughs over Astaria reaction. He then smirks as he says while looking at Astaria making her feel a bit of shame.
"See Aunt Astaria I am not liar, and everything I said about Awoa is true, so instead of pointing out the innocent, how about you shine a light on Awoa's behavior since you are his biological mother you are as shameless as he is."
Kurao smile widens at making of a fool of Astaria and it grew wider at the praise of his progress he has made in the past few days.
