Since the house was already furnished, we didn't need to bring any furniture. The only things we took were our clothes, as the new house already had sheets, blankets, and pillows. Besides, it's good to keep those kinds of things in this house.
I don't plan on selling it, and I might use it for something else in the future. It's best to keep the rooms ready.
Even though we had a lot of clothes, it didn't take that long.
I packed my clothes into one bag, and I was ready to go.
Hestia didn't have many clothes either, so she also filled only one bag. However, to my surprise, Mikoto and Lili had more clothes than I expected. Each of them managed to fill three bags.
Still, by mid-afternoon, we were ready to head to our new home.
Mikoto and Lili were quite excited—they hadn't seen the house yet.
Since we had so many bags, it took a little longer than usual to get to the new place. I ended up carrying five bags at once while the girls carried the rest.
Naturally, we caught the attention of most people on the street.
But we didn't care.
We kept chatting cheerfully as we made our way toward the new mansion.
When we got close to the mansion, I stopped.
I could see the coliseum in the distance. It really was beautiful.
"This is my first time in this part of the city," Mikoto said.
"Really? I thought you'd been here before. What about you, Lili?"
"I've visited the coliseum before, but it was a long time ago."
"I see. So, can you guess which one is our new house?"
Even though our house stood out, there were still many beautiful homes nearby. Mikoto and Lili looked around. Since they knew how much I paid for the house, both of them pointed at the one I had bought.
I noticed Mikoto's finger was trembling slightly.
"You've got to be kidding…" Mikoto said with a shaky voice. "I knew you spent a fortune, but isn't this a bit much…?"
"This is amazing, Luan. Is this really our new home? I was expecting something impressive, but this is a bit..."
"You think so?"
"Are you kidding me?!" Lili shouted. "This is the most beautiful house I've ever seen in my life. Look at that garden! Look at the architecture! It's stunning!"
Lili ran toward the front gate.
Mikoto and Hestia picked up the two bags she left behind, and we followed her to the gate.
Lili held onto the thick bars of the giant gate like a child. Her eyes sparkled.
I chuckled and said, "You're really excited, huh? Alright, give me some space."
I pulled out the keys and opened the gate. It creaked loudly as it swung open.
Lili walked along the main path to the front door, taking in every detail of the large garden.
She completely forgot about her bags.
We decided to carry the rest of the bags inside and close the gate. We brought everything in little by little. Of course, only Hestia and I did that.
Mikoto and Lili were far too excited to help.
They were acting like a couple of kids.
I wasn't mad, of course.
I just enjoyed watching them like that.
For some reason, it warmed my heart.

*Ais's POV*
"Huh?"
Something felt off.
I went to the Hestia Familia's house, but it was empty. I only called out once, but usually someone would show up. I stayed there for a few minutes until someone approached me.
A man.
"Are you looking for someone from the Hestia Familia? You're Ais Wallenstein, right?"
"Yes, that's me. I'm looking for a member of the Hestia Familia."
"You won't find anyone here. They moved out yesterday."
"They moved? Are you sure?"
"Yes. I live nearby and saw the whole Familia leave the house carrying lots of suitcases. I doubt they just went on a trip."
"I see…"
I felt a little bad. Luan hadn't told me he was moving.
"Do you know where they went?"
"Sorry, I can't help you with that."
"It's alright, don't worry."
I smiled at the man and he said goodbye.
He walked away, and I sighed as I looked at the facade of the mansion.
'I'll probably run into him somewhere. Or maybe he'll come met me… We're friends, aren't we?'
That's when I saw someone approaching.
Tall, muscular, with long hair and striking eyes. He wore long pants and nice shoes.
'Luan…'
He saw me and I noticed his eyes widen.
"Ais?"
"Ah, Luan. Sorry for showing up unannounced."
"It's fine."
"I heard you moved…" I said, feeling a bit awkward.
Luan smiled and said, "I was going to tell you my new address later. Good thing I found you here. Why don't we go inside? I came back to pick up something I forgot."
"Inside? Ah, sure."
Luan opened the gate and we entered the mansion.
It looked just like I remembered. They hadn't taken anything.
I followed Luan upstairs and waited at the door of his room. He went in and started picking up a few things, storing them in his inventory—the one he had shown me a while back.
Pens and papers.
I noticed some of the pages had words written on them.
'Are those new volumes?'
"What you just stored… are those new volumes of Re:Zero or Overlord?"
"Oh, no, just something I wrote to pass the time. It's nothing important."
"..."
I stayed quiet as Luan left the room. As we went down the stairs, I asked,
"Can I read it?"
"Hm?" Luan turned and looked at me.
"I want to know if I can read what you wrote."
"Ah… It's nothing special, just a new story I probably won't publish. Don't worry about it."
"That only makes me more curious."
I smiled.
Luan sighed, then pulled the papers from his inventory.
"It's only thirty pages. Nothing much. Don't expect me to continue it."
"Thank you."
I felt my heart warm.
