Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: Final Requiem

The very fabric of reality strained as the two greatest forces ever born on Earth stood face to face—Xzavier, the embodiment of freedom, glowing with divine light, and Yagumi, the monstrous incarnation of wrath, whose power had swallowed the infernal core of Gimori himself. The broken demon tower lay in ruins behind them, and around them raged the flaming pit, the molten depths in which they had once fallen—and risen reborn.

Yagumi was no longer the boy he once was. His terrifying second life form towered in power and presence. Two massive blackened arms extended from his back like a wrathful god, each gripping a Reaper Blade, screaming with the whispers of death. His regular arms clenched tightly around the Demon Blade, which pulsated with Gimori's dark power, the air vibrating around it in demonic song. Crimson horns curled from his forehead, and four blazing eyes stared into Xzavier's divine form, hungering for annihilation.

Xzavier stood radiant and still, his body glowing like dawnlight. His white hood gently flapped in the heat. The Superior Eyes, golden and infinite, studied his former friend with sorrow. In his right hand, his holy Spear of Jiyū crackled with divine energy, shaped like the Titan Blade, yet fluid and free in form. His golden Ascension marks shimmered, clutching his arms like armor given by the heavens themselves.

Then—the battle began.

Yagumi lunged first, roaring like a beast unchained. His four arms moved like a storm: the Twin Reaper Blades slashed in opposite spirals while the Demon Blade came crashing down like a meteor. Xzavier vanished from the spot, reappearing above him mid-air, thrusting his spear down. Sparks erupted as it clashed with the Demon Blade, sending a shockwave that split the molten lake below. The platform cracked but held.

Xzavier weaved through the hellish onslaught, his spear dancing like a ribbon of divine judgment. Yagumi roared, twisting midair, his back-arms tossing the Reaper Blades at Xzavier like homing scythes. Xzavier deflected one, but the other grazed his shoulder, drawing golden blood. He responded with a full-power strike that drove Yagumi back, crashing into the edge of the platform. Still, Yagumi rose, bloodied and laughing manically.

"Come on, FREEDOM!" he snarled, "Let's see if your wings can withstand my wrath!"

They collided again, divine light and unholy flame twisting together in a storm that shook the world. Each strike sounded like the cry of dying stars. Lava erupted into the sky. Time seemed to slow as their forms became blurs, light and shadow clashing in godlike fury.

Suddenly—a voice called from above.

"Yagumi!"

Both warriors paused.

Descending slowly from the crater's edge, her eyes brimming with tears, was Mizuki. Her presence softened the air. She stood in the storm like a beacon of memory and sorrow. "You remember me, don't you?" she asked, stepping closer.

Yagumi froze. Something flickered in those fiery eyes—recognition. The rage trembled. Mizuki gently approached. "You… you're still in there. Please. Let it go. I don't want to see you like this." Her voice cracked. "You saved me. Now let me save you."

Yagumi's monstrous form trembled as if resisting a command from within. He reached toward her, but the infernal power of Gimori howled, chaining him in place. "I… can't…" he choked, his voice distorted.

Then—strike!

Xzavier, with no other choice, pierced Yagumi through the chest with the Spear of Jiyū. Divine light exploded from the impact, casting away the infernal grip. Yagumi howled as his form unraveled, the monstrous shell collapsing into light.

When the light faded, Yagumi lay weakened, human again.

Mizuki embraced him.

A moment later, another figure descended into the pit—Zadie, calm and solemn, her eyes meeting Xzavier's. "You… you remember too?" he asked softly.

Zadie nodded. "The past timeline. Everything. We couldn't stop it then. But now… we can."

They stood together, warriors reborn with purpose. Levine, having barely survived the demon tower's collapse, descended too, nodding. "It's time to seal the blades. All of them."

Xzavier closed his eyes and raised his hand.

In an instant, a vast Legendary Blade Vault emerged from beneath the platform—a radiant, otherworldly chamber forged from divine crystal and metal. The vault pulsed with celestial energy. Xzavier called out to all surviving Legendary Blade Wielders. One by one, they appeared warriors drawn by destiny—each placing their legendary blade inside.

The Twin Reaper Blades,

the Demon Blade,

Flame blade,

Shadow Blade,

frost blade,

Earth blade,

Galaxy blade,

thunder blade,

wind blade,

water blade,

Titan blade,

and even Xzavier's own holy 12th Legendary blade, he named it the energy blade, as it was made from Jiyū's divine energy. They were all sealed.

Finally, Xzavier placed the Legendary titan blade that was within him in the center of the vault.

Then, with a breath of prayer, he whispered to Jiyū who was now in the vault aswell and split into 12 elemental wolves that guarded the legendary blade of their choice. "Guard them all." Xzavier commanded.

The vault sealed shut. The blades were transported to 12 unused islands, each blade guarded not only by The elemental wolves but 15 magical chambers, each more intricate than the last. Sigils of peace, guardianship, and eternal sealing glowed upon their walls. And then—Xzavier summoned the final protection: a 16th chamber, which was a celestial Palace of eternal vigilance for each island. Every door was sealed with unbreakable runes, and no evil could pass without shattering every law of existence. The same clans tasked with protecting the blades were also sent to the islands where they built new civilization, those who weren't apart of these clans remained on the continent of Eidolon.

But one last task remained.

Yagumi lay still, eyes closed. "He's still in me," he whispered. "Gimori's soul."

Levine, Zadie, Xzavier and even Mizuki gathered Together and decided that the best course of action would be to seal him and Gimori under a giant mountain, a mountain bigger than the one Titanus materialized centuries ago. The all effectively banished both him and Gimori from human society. Though it stung Mizuki's heart a little but she went along with it, even encouraging it.

A new mountain was summoned by Xzavier's final miracle. It rose above the skies, beyond the clouds. At its center, Yagumi and Gimori's soul were sealed inside a Monument of Stillness, its walls never to be breached. The mountain became sacred ground.

Eidolon was free.

The war was over. The blades were sealed. Gimori's influence vanished from the world. Yagumi was banished and sealed away.

As the sun rose over the new world, there was only peace.

There were no more tyrants. No more cursed blades. Only unity, love, and the hope that wrath would never again rise to challenge the light.

And thus, the Reign of Wrath came to a glorious, holy end.

Xzavier was given the title: The Light of a Hero or Hikari no Hiro

But Yagumi was alone, tormented by the insults and hateful comments from Gimori and left under that mountain to suffer and die.
