When Brooke arrived at the restaurant, she was surprised to see no one else in the vicinity. Right from the parking lot, only hers and Thane's car was parked outside. As the staff welcomed her into the reserved area, she noticed how empty the space was at the time.
She was so bothered by this that she had to ask Thane upon sitting, "This place is so nice, yet there's no one else here, why is that?"
But Thane was not bothered by that, all he could focus on was staring at his wife, whom despite her messy hair and tired look still looked quite charming.
He explained clearly, "This restaurant is invite only. I met the owner a few years back at a family event, before this place was founded. Coincidentally, we met a year later, and I ended up loaning him some money for a startup business. It seems that my bet on him was right, the returns of this place is pretty decent."
"You get a cut out of his earnings?" Brooke asked, her eyes taking in the ethereal interior of the place.
