Olivia leaned over the sink, cupping cool water into her hands. As she lifted her face and reached for a paper towel, the bathroom door opened behind her. In the mirror's reflection, she caught a glimpse, a flash of familiar tattoos and golden hair. She froze.
Her brows knit together.
She knew that face.
Turning slowly, Olivia faced the woman, her tone casual but her eyes sharp.
"Have we met before? You look... familiar."
Laura paused, her body going still for half a second, just long enough for someone observant to notice.
But then she flashed a dazzling smile and rummaged through her handbag with perfect ease, like a woman who had nothing to hide.
"I get that a lot. I'm a social media influencer, maybe you've seen me online somewhere? Instagram, TikTok, YouTube… you know what I mean."
Olivia tilted her head slightly, still watching her. "Ah. Could be. I don't spend much time on the internet, though. Not my thing." She forced a smile.
