When you can't see the forest for the trees
Hans was jumpy, really jumpy. He and the other kitchen staff liked to get started before Abigail arrived because, while she was kind, their bosses were not. Hans was supposed to be prepping everything for the day's breads but he could not focus and when someone spoke to him he would either almost jump out of his skin or he would almost piss his pants.
The kitchen staff went and found the only girl that seemed to calm him.
"Kimberly go talk to him. If things are not ready it will not just be our problem. It will be the problem of the entire staff."
Kimberly pursed her lips and pushed all the air out of her lungs. She smiled her kindest smile, she hoped it was kind. And she quietly walked up to Hans.
"Hans? Is everything okay with you today?"
