Early the next morning, just as day was breaking, Yue Feng was woken up by the crowing of the rooster raised on the farm.
The bucket filled with sharpnose fish from yesterday, if weighed, would at least be a couple dozen to nearly a hundred pounds. Yue Feng had been thinking about the situation in the nest at the Amur River as he slept and wondered how it had fared overnight and whether any big fish had entered it.
He got up swiftly, washed his face, went for a quick jog around the farm, and then returned to his room to wake up the kid.
Though the little girl didn't fish, she was always following along on the boat to help out and was exhausted from the previous day.
She finally managed to get up, her eyes still half-closed. After getting ready and washing her face, the doorbell rang with a server bringing breakfast.
