The man stood with his back to the light, and though she could not see his expression, she knew he was waiting for her on purpose.
Chi Yue hesitated for a moment, then walked past him.
Unfortunately, Fu Rongyin didn't give her a chance to act coy. As she approached, he naturally took her hand, "Coming back so late, you didn't even call me to pick you up."
Before Chi Yue could reflect, she had already been led by Fu Rongyin to the front door.
He released her hand, "Go inside, I'll bring Mianmian over to you tomorrow."
With that, he walked away without looking back.
Chi Yue stared blankly at his receding figure, her mind uncontrollably recalling memories of their time together.
Initially, before they started dating, he always somehow appeared on her way home, silently accompanying her to her doorstep before bidding her farewell.
That was their only interaction each day.
