Luffy immediately straightened his back, puffed out his chest, and strutted after Robin with the confidence of a dragon and the swagger of a tiger.
"Hmph, you tease," he muttered under his breath, eager to prove himself. "Today I'll show you what a real man is!"
Robin, glancing over her shoulder at the clearly over-eager Luffy, merely smiled and said nothing. With a graceful turn, she continued leading the way.
The Marine base originally had four floors, not counting the basement, which were more than sufficient for office use. But later, Luffy had another floor added to the structure, turning it into a rest and entertainment area for himself and the girls.
Seeing Robin take him directly to the fifth floor, Luffy's heart skipped a beat. A sudden nervousness crept in, making him realize she wasn't joking.
Damn, he thought, his confidence faltering for a split second. Did Robin take the wrong medicine today? Does she really want to go all out with me?!
His mind raced with doubts, wondering if this was some kind of trick.
Immediately, he activated his Observation Haki, scanning the entire fifth floor meticulously, leaving no corner unchecked.
But when he finished his scan, his expression froze in shock.
"No one?! There's no one here!"
He blinked in disbelief, replaying the scan in his mind. But it was true—everyone was busy with the recruitment efforts at the lower levels.
"Even Hancock is out overseeing the situation… So… this girl is serious!"
Realization hit him like a ton of bricks. Luffy stared at Robin's graceful figure ahead, his thoughts swirling.
You're the one who started this, so don't blame me for what's coming next.
His gaze drifted lower, admiring how Robin's tight jeans hugged her figure perfectly.
By the way, he mused, those jeans are really… fitting. Perky—no, I mean, they suit her well.
Just as he was lost in his silent commentary, Robin suddenly stopped walking.
The two were so close that Luffy, who had been walking deliberately near her, couldn't react in time and bumped right into her from behind.
Robin turned around slowly, her face adorned with a sly, fake smile.
"Is it that urgent?" she teased, her voice smooth like silk. "If you're in such a hurry, why don't we start now?"
"Ahem, what are you talking about?" Luffy coughed awkwardly, trying to play dumb. "Why'd you stop so suddenly? I couldn't even brake in time."
Robin didn't press him further. Instead, she let out a soft, knowing chuckle and stepped aside, revealing the door in front of them.
Luffy's brows shot up in surprise.
"Isn't this Koala's room? Why'd you bring me here?"
Robin opened the door with a smile. She glanced inside at the pink, girly decor, then turned back to Luffy, a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Don't you think it's more… exciting here?"
Luffy: …!!! What?!
At first, Luffy's face showed pure confusion. Then realization dawned, followed by shock, and finally… an irrepressible wave of excitement surged through him.
"Sister Robin, you're such a bug!
You're really good at this… Does Koala even know?!"
His mind raced with images of Koala walking in and seeing him with Robin—her sister figure—in her room, on her bed.
The thought alone was both terrifying and thrilling.
No, no, this is dangerous! Koala will chop me to pieces!!!
Even though his rational mind screamed that this was a terrible idea, his body was already making a different choice.
Seeing his reaction, Robin smiled devilishly and stepped inside the room first.
Luffy, despite his internal warnings, followed closely behind, shutting the door behind him.
As he breathed in the lingering scent of Koala's perfume in the room, his mind whirred with possibilities.
What moves should I use? Should I start with—
But before he could finish that thought, Robin walked over to the desk, her movements fluid and confident.
Without missing a beat, she picked up a document lying on the table.
"This is the intelligence just sent over by the Revolutionary Army."
Her voice was calm, almost too casual.
"Kaido has gone to Wano to form an alliance with Big Mom."
As she said this, she shot Luffy a teasing wink.
"So… how's that for exciting?"
Luffy's face turned red, then purple with anger.
"I @#%¥@#%! I was ready to take off my pants, and you tell me this?!
Why didn't we just go to your room?! Why'd you have to bring me here?!"
Seeing Luffy's rage boiling over, Robin chuckled, clearly pleased with herself.
"I'm sorry," she said sweetly, though her grin betrayed her lack of remorse. "But the only equipment for secret communication with the Revolutionary Army is here in Koala's room.
I just happened to see the document when the Den Den Mushi received the coded message."
Luffy took a deep breath—so deep he felt like he was sucking all the air out of the room.
Only then did he manage to suppress his anger slightly, resisting the overwhelming urge to tie Robin up and teach her a lesson for playing with him like this.
His hands trembled as he snatched the document from her.
The report detailed that the Beast Pirates had suddenly appeared in Totland, the territory controlled by Big Mom.
What's more, Kaido himself was present, and the two Yonko had even engaged in a brief battle.
The Revolutionary Army didn't have information on what happened afterward, but what was certain was that Big Mom held a grand banquet afterward, announcing the alliance between the two pirate crews.
Luffy's anger simmered as he processed the information.
This isn't just a problem… This is a fucking disaster.
