Jack and his race weren't the only ones progressing through the generations, and the other candidate's races had been busy.
As usual, the first candidate's hounds were slightly better after they barely managed to survive and finally learned. Maybe attacking everything wasn't a good survival option even though the skills chosen made them bloodthirsty brutes.
But after smacking against the same tree over and over again for over 60 years, they learned to hold back against the bigger predators.
This allowed for the population to grow because they breed quite well, having 5 to 6 children and breeding quite regularly like normal dogs just eviler.
The total population was now 70, and they would stick in groups of 3 or 4 and have started to do better in their current environment.
This was the difference between humanoid races and animal races is that the humanoids are smarter and live longer. While the animal race can breed quicker and have more children while also being the only ones who can evolve.

In another area of the world, a group of small blue people had been busy they had managed to dig small holes to stay in and get away from predators.
Others, however, decide to climb the trees and stay in the air where they can look up at the stars and watch in endless splendor.
The blue people did mostly okay as they chilled and hunted small bugs to eat and found berries to gorge on and fill their tiny stomachs.
Overall, out of all races, they had the easiest time it might be because of the constant cold that acted as a shield for those who couldn't feel it at all.

In the ocean, a small group of fish was floating in a group just floating in the water and resting after escaping attacks from predators.
As they were swimming by some coral when out of the blue, a humanoid female snapped down on a fish and ate contently while the others fled.
It was hard at the start for these guys, but after getting used to the skills they had and learning to stay away from certain areas they managed to do quite well.
The life they live now is using the camouflage skill and waiting for prey to come near before sneaking and attacking it.
The current population is 45

In a large and sprawling forest, a small fairy was riding on top of a large feline as it jumped from the large branches of the green trees. The fairies had done well in the first 3 generations.
However, they had to deal with a new threat, which was termites. They were large and didn't just eat rotting wood and put the forest in their sights.
Currently, with the help of the skills they had the beast companions helped them fight a war with the termites using ranged attacks and guerrilla warfare.
They had managed to hold off the termites, but it wouldn't last forever so they decided to experiment with the creatures near them.
This is how the feline that used to be small and grey was not dark purple, and the size of a horse was currently zooming through the forest. The population was currently 35, with not many being killed, with most being taken from age.

Far in the sky as the wind ripped through the sky a large owl was flying while a small creature was in its talons and was slowly bleeding out.
The owl then spotted its nest and flew towards it as the image of the small chicks came into view, and they also spotted their mother. Incessant chirps rang out as the children voiced their hunger to their parents as it came closer and dropped the dying creature in the center of the nest.
Surprisingly, they didn't wait for the mother to eat and feed them mouth to mouth. Instead, they jumped onto the body and ravaged it. The creature was killed while suffering from being ripped apart by the children's small beaks.
The owls had quickly taken over the land they roamed, becoming one of the top predators, and they knew it, so they started staying in other areas. The owls had now expanded to more areas but were still low in number at a population of 28.

In a deep and dark cave, a petrified body dropped onto the ground, convulsing as toxic poison turned its already-dried body into mush. A mother spider was feeding its young as a swarm of a hundred spiders rushed to the slop that was put on the ground.
The mother watched her children eat on the ground from the ceiling of the cave, her multiple eyes watching the scene with an emotionless stare. Even though the spiders could have many children, there was lots of competition, and they often ate each other if they could.
So far, the spiders have taken over all the caves in the area and have made a large circled webbed network covering the jungle between caves.
Currently, the population is 95.

In the swamp, a creature thrashed violently as a large alligator-like creature that was mixed with a tree was fighting a lizard woman.
The lizard woman was smashing the creature's head in as they fought in the murky water as roars covered the swamp.
The lizard men had decided to keep pushing themselves and attack the creatures in the swamp so they could claim it and rule over it as they saw fit.
The lizard men suffered losses but had a stable population of 44 who wandered the swamp lands.

The constant noise of chittering was heard as in a tunnel dozens of drones walked through the tunnels they dug as they came into a large opening.
Multiple other entrances and exits were littered around the walls of the room and in the centre, was the queen of the swarm, and she and been busy growing her forces and collecting resources currently, the areas above the nest were barren.
The swarm left nothing as everything else was an enemy, and they would not let them have a single blade of grass to those they would soon kill. No mercy was shown for anything that wasn't them, they would consume and make more of their kind and would dominate this planet.
They currently have the largest population of 110.

A sharkman was currently resting on a large rock when a giant octopus came charging at the large humanoid, but before it could get its tentacles on the sharkman.
A large fist came forward and crushed its head as the remains shot back before slowly floating to the floor. Other small shark children quickly ripped off chunks of the body and played with the remains.
The shark-man race was doing possibly the best, having no trouble dominating the sea, but that was the point of the skill the creator chose to keep.
The shark men owned the oceans, and while some forces and creatures stood in the way they would soon fall, it was inevitable. The current population is 40.
