Chapter 258 - Chapter 258: The Beginning of Midsummer

Tokyo Jujutsu High.

Summer had just begun, and the afternoon sun was scorching. The constant buzzing of cicadas filled the air.

On a day like this, the best thing to do was stay inside, enjoy the air conditioning, and do absolutely nothing.

But one annoying person insisted on dragging them outside for an experiment.

"Alright, here we go~"

Wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, Ieiri Shoko stretched out her words lazily, looking completely unmotivated.

"All set! We can start anytime!"

Dressed in a white shirt, loose sports pants, and sunglasses, Gojo Satoru waved in confirmation.

Standing next to Ieiri Shoko, Geto Suguru still wore his modified version of the Jujutsu High uniform.

Both he and Ieiri Shoko held a pencil and an eraser in their hands. At the same time, they threw them at the white-haired boy standing three meters away.

The eraser in Ieiri Shoko's hand bounced off Gojo Satoru's forehead with perfect accuracy before being casually caught by him.

But the pencil thrown by Geto Suguru never touched him—it simply stopped in midair, floating motionlessly as if held by an invisible force.

This was exactly the result Gojo Satoru wanted.

A grin spread across his face.

"Yep! It works!"

Ieiri Shoko looked confused and asked, "Huh? What's going on here?"

"Is it an automatic selection of the technique's target?" Suguru Geto immediately noticed something unusual.

"That's right!" Gojo Satoru grabbed a pencil and proudly explained, "To be exact, the target of my technique is myself!"

Spinning the pencil between his fingers, he continued, "Before, I always followed the manual to control the Limitless Technique, but now I've switched to automatic mode."

"It not only adjusts based on cursed energy levels but can also filter out dangerous objects based on their mass, speed, and shape. If only it could detect poison too… but for now, that's still a tough problem to solve."

"This way, I can keep energy consumption to a minimum and leave the Limitless Technique on all the time. I won't have to worry about sneak attacks from guys like Zenin Toji anymore."

Hearing this, Ieiri Shoko looked concerned. "Keeping the technique active all the time… be careful not to fry your brain."

"No worries. I'll also have my Reverse Cursed Technique running constantly." Gojo Satoru tapped his head with the pencil and grinned. "My brain will stay fresh at all times!"

"The hand seals I used to rely on? I don't need them anymore. Red and Blue are also getting easier to use at the same time."

"The next challenges are domain expansion and long-distance teleportation." The white-haired boy was already planning ahead. "If I set up a clear path using Jujutsu High as a starting point, it shouldn't be too hard to pull off."

"Shoko, lend me some test subjects~"

"Ugh." The brown-haired girl made a face full of reluctance.

Squatting in the shadows of a nearby building, Suguru Geto smiled and said, "Gojo, you should go thank that guy properly. After all, he's the one who taught you Reverse Cursed Technique."

"Huh!?" Gojo Satoru's eyes widened in disbelief. His sunglasses even slipped down his nose from the shock. "Why the hell should I!? With the way he 'taught' me, I almost died under that bastard's hands!"

"Come on, it's been over a month already. You're still hung up on this?" Ieiri Shoko sighed, shaking her head helplessly. "Maybe your talent just wasn't good enough, so he had to use extreme methods to make you learn."

Shoko really shouldn't have said that.

As soon as she did, Gojo Satoru got even more worked up. He pointed at her and shouted, "That's only because your explanations make no sense!"

"Isn't that your own problem?"

"What did you say!?"

"Yikes, so scary! I'm out of here."

With a mischievous smile, Ieiri Shoko turned and ran. The white-haired boy shouted angrily and chased after her. Even though they were high schoolers, they still acted like elementary school kids.

Suguru Geto let out a helpless sigh, then got up and followed them at a leisurely pace.

It had been over a month since he and Gojo Satoru had gone to ask Hayashizaki for guidance on Reverse Cursed Technique.

Hayashizaki's teaching methods weren't exactly reasonable, but as long as the end result was good, that was all that mattered.

At the same time, Gojo Satoru had been deeply affected by both Hayashizaki and Fushiguro Toji, who had successfully ambushed him. Now, he was pushing himself harder than ever, striving to become the strongest.

For the past month, he had been completely absorbed in his training, studying the Limitless Technique and mastering Reverse Cursed Technique without rest.

And of course, his efforts had paid off.

But he still had a long way to go before becoming the strongest.

After all, there was a monster standing in his way—one that wouldn't be so easy to surpass.

And the one Suguru Geto called a monster…

Was currently spending the summer inside a certain short-haired girl's body.

Or rather, watching someone else enjoy their summer vacation.

After finishing yet another etiquette lesson, Yukinoshita Haruno returned home.

The moment she stepped into her room, she forcefully slammed the door shut—only to catch herself at the last second, gently closing it instead.

"What kind of summer vacation is this!?"

She shouted in frustration.

Especially when she saw Yukinoshita Haruno lying on the bed, dressed in light pajamas, enjoying the air conditioning under a blanket while reading a foreign novel.

"Must be nice~"

Yukinoshita Haruno playfully winked at the short-haired girl who looked exactly like her, except for the different outfit.

Then, she canceled her technique.

Before being dismissed, the clone Haruno used her last moments to pull away the air-conditioned blanket covering her original body, expressing her dissatisfaction with a final act of rebellion.

With the blanket gone, her smooth, fair legs were exposed beneath the light summer nightgown.

Feeling a sudden chill on her legs, Yukinoshita Haruno instinctively curled them up, her ten delicate toes tightening slightly.

But that was all. A clone was, after all, just a clone.

The girl casually pulled the blanket back over herself and continued reading her book.

In the domain of souls, the black-haired young man who had just witnessed the original bullying her clone shook his head.

The white-boned Buddhist altar beneath him had now completely transformed into something else—an imposing throne made of pure shadow.

The once blood-red ocean of the Malevolent Shrine domain had vanished, replaced by a pitch-black palace without light. Lining its grand hall stood ten shikigami, their presence exuding both authority and an eerie sense of death.
