As the kids left, Max sat back on the sofa and rubbed his eyes.
"Okay, now Yue, tell me — what were you talking about earlier?"
[ A new Gacha is now available — it's called Plot Gacha.]
"Plot Gacha? What does it do?" he asked, wondering if it referred to a plot of land or a plot from a novel.
[ It refers to the plot of a novel, Host. If Host spins it, he will gain a system tied to that plot.]
[Example: Super Master System — where the host becomes an insanely powerful master and guides disciples.]
[Or: Hero System — where the host becomes a hero, saving civilians and gaining rewards based on the number saved.]
"Hmm, okay. Then spin it," Max said as he deducted 10,000 points.
A golden ball descended into his palm.
[Ding! Host has obtained the Ultimate Academy System!]
[The Ultimate Academy System is now a sub-system under mine. New quest line has been activated.]
[Quest: Establish the Ultimate Academy.]
[First Quest Objective: Gain approval for your academy from either Spirit Hall or any major empire/kingdom.]
[Reward: A small-sized academy building with training grounds and dormitories, along with two Teacher Summoning Cards.]
Max nodded thoughtfully as he leaned back against the sofa, the golden system notification still glowing faintly before him.
"An Academy of my own, huh…" he murmured. "If I'm going to make this real, I need official backing. No point in building something powerful if it's not recognized."
He stood up and dusted off his robe. "Time to pay Spirit Hall a visit."
With a faint shimmer, his figure blurred as he activated his movement technique and disappeared from the residence.
Spirit Hall – Central Branch, Soto City
The building was grand, its architecture exuding a mix of sacred might and awe-inspiring pressure. Max walked through the open gate, flashing the Spirit Hall token that had been granted to Arlecchino — and now, conveniently, under his control.
Inside, the old man in charge of registrations and administrative matters straightened up the moment he saw him.
"You again… Do you require assistance, sir?" he asked with a hint of nervous respect.
"Yes," Max said calmly. "I'm here to get official recognition from Spirit Hall for an Academy I intend to establish."
The old man's eyes widened slightly. "An Academy? Is Her Highness Arlecchino the one who wishes to open her own Academy?"
Max nodded, knowing full well that, with his six-year-old body, it would be hard to convince anyone it was his idea. So, he conveniently put it under Arlecchino's name.
Back at their hideout…
Arlecchino, who was meditating calmly, suddenly paused and frowned.
"Why do I feel… like someone's making plans under my name?" she muttered, suspicious, before shaking her head and going back to meditation.
"Hmm, I see. Well, she is a Titled Douluo, so she has the qualifications to open an Academy," the old man said with a respectful nod. "By the way, why didn't she come herself?"
Max kept his calm and replied smoothly, "My master went to help the others obtain their first spirit rings, so she sent me to handle the preliminary setup."
The old man didn't question it further and smiled.
"Alright then. We'll proceed with the formalities. We have a large plot of land available on the southwest side of the city. It can be assigned to you."
He paused, then added thoughtfully, "Now, if you don't have enough funds, Spirit Hall can act as a partial backer — though in return, you'd be considered an affiliated branch. We'd take a portion of your Academy's earnings and student quota."
Max thought for a moment and then nodded.
"That's acceptable. We can be a subordinate branch of Spirit Hall."
The old man was surprised by the quick agreement but pleased nonetheless. He didn't know Max was only thinking about how this connection would grant more resources, reputation, and protection — and how Arlecchino's name would silence all future doubts. After all, as a Titled Douluo, she wasn't just a wandering Spirit Master but someone with real influence.
"Alright then. Let's fill out the registration," the old man said as he handed over the formal Spirit Hall registration scroll.
Max filled it out quickly — the required fields were simple: Dean's Name and Academy Name.
For the Dean's Name, Max wrote down his own.
The old man raised an eyebrow. "Your name? Shouldn't your master—"
Max cut in smoothly, "My master entrusted me with managing the Academy as her representative. I'll be handling its day-to-day operations under her guidance."
The old man gave a slow nod. As a priest under Flowing Feather Douluo, he had heard of Arlecchino's strength — a Titled Douluo above rank 95. If she really was behind this, then letting her disciple take the lead didn't seem too strange.
When it came to the Academy Name, Max paused for a moment, then confidently wrote: Ghidorah Academy.
The name came from his own Martial Spirit inspiration — the legendary three-headed dragon. To him, it symbolized dominance, unity, and overwhelming power.
"Ghidorah Academy," the old man read aloud. "That's... quite the name. Sounds like it will become something fearsome."
Max smiled faintly.
"It will be," he said simply.
The old man rolled up the scroll and stamped it with the Spirit Hall's seal. "Alright, the paperwork is complete. Now, let me have someone take you to the land you'll be using. It's in the southwest sector of the city — currently unused but fertile. Covered in grass and trees, but nothing that can't be cleared easily."
He turned to the side door and called out, "Se!"
A Spirit Hall attendant in light blue robes stepped in, bowing respectfully. "Yes, Priest?"
"Take this young master to the plot we've designated for the new academy. Make sure he sees the entire perimeter."
"Yes, sir."
Max followed Se through the side streets of the Spirit Hall complex and out into the city. The sun was starting to dip lower in the sky, casting golden light over Soto City as they walked. After about twenty minutes, they reached a large open space, bordered by low stone markers.
The area was vast — at least enough to house a sizable academy. Lush grass waved gently in the breeze, and there were clusters of tall trees scattered along the edges. A small hill rose near the center, overlooking a shallow stream that curved like a silver ribbon through the land.
Se stepped aside. "This is the place. It hasn't been developed, but the terrain is stable, and Spirit Hall has cleared it for institutional construction."
Max stood silently, scanning the area with sharp eyes, but then casually asked his system in his mind:
"Is this place good enough?"
[System: Host, this plot is more than sufficient. It can accommodate a large-sized Academy with room to expand. Since your current Academy level is 'Small,' it exceeds requirements.]
