Chapter 263 - Marvel 263

Six Years Later – Ghidorah Academy

The sun rose above the misty southern cliffs, casting golden light across a sprawling compound of towers, courtyards, and domed arenas — each etched with the crest of a three-headed dragon in flight. Where once stood a lone hill and an empty plain, now thrived one of the most talked-about institutions in the Douluo Continent.

Ghidorah Academy had become a name spoken with equal parts awe, respect, and envy.

It was no longer the hidden upstart of Soto City. It stood shoulder to shoulder with legendary institutions like Heaven Dou Imperial Academy, Star Luo Advanced Academy, and even the inner halls of Spirit Hall's education network.

Its slogan — once spoken casually by its founder — was now etched in steel above its gates, echoed by its proud students and whispered by rival academies in frustration:

"We make geniuses from the ordinary… and monsters from geniuses."

 -Academy Overview

Ghidorah Academy's structure was now divided into specialized divisions:

Martial Division – Focused on combat, tactics, and spirit dueling. Known for producing fierce battle-type Spirit Masters with unorthodox but devastating techniques.

Cultivation Hall – Where students trained under guided techniques like Art of Harmonization and Silent Echo Breathing; a place of tranquility and explosive growth.

Alchemy Pavilion – Home to spirit alchemists and herb masters, where Spirit Energy Pills and rare brews were forged and traded.

Strategic Division – A rarity in most academies, it taught battlefield command, group synergy, and tactical Spirit Master deployment.

Monster Trials Grounds – A unique training sector with simulated battlefields, ancient beast echoes, and real spirit beast confrontation zones.

The student body had grown to over 500 full-time disciples, with multiple elite classes and an outer disciple system. A dozen teachers now staffed the grounds — some recruited, some summoned by Max.

Max sat in his dean's office, leaned back in his chair, with a girl curled up on his lap, clinging to him in her sleep.

"You're really clinging to me even now, huh?" Max asked quietly, glancing down at her with a small smirk.

The girl stirred slightly, a lazy smile playing on her lips as she snuggled closer. "Well, it's comfy here… and you're surprisingly cute in this body," she murmured sleepily.

Max chuckled and gently moved her aside. "Alright, enough. I've got work to do."

Rize stretched before rising from Max's lap. "We've all reached level 30. Let's go and get our spirit rings now," she said with calm confidence.

Max nodded.

Level 30 might sound modest to outsiders, but in their case, it meant something entirely different. Each of them was born with an innate full spirit power of level 10, and they had spent years compressing and refining their spirit energy—cultivating slowly, deliberately. Thanks to the advanced techniques provided by Ghidorah Academy, their foundation was deep and unshakable.

Though still at level 30, any of them could go head-to-head with Spirit Masters at level 40 or even 50. Their spirit power didn't lack in either quality or quantity. Against untempered opponents who rushed advancement, they wouldn't just hold their ground—they'd dominate.

"What about the others?" Max asked, leaning back in his chair.

Rize crossed her arms. "They're all ready too. That's why I came to get you."

Max raised an eyebrow. "Just like that? And why are you the one calling me?"

Rize narrowed her eyes, unbothered. "Because you're just sitting here, pretending to be the 'Dean'. You hardly show up to classes. The other teachers are the ones running the academy while you lounge in this office. If you're going to wear the title, at least do something with it."

Max let out a light cough, not from offense—but from amusement. She wasn't wrong. And frankly, this was what he had wanted: someone who could lead, who could challenge him, and who didn't hesitate to speak her mind.

"Besides," Rize added, "you're a Spirit Emperor. Level 65. More than enough to protect us while we hunt for our rings. So get up, Dean Max, and be useful."

Max chuckled softly. "Alright, alright. Lead the way."

He stood up, stretching slightly before following Rize. As they stepped out of the dean's office, several passing students and staff offered respectful nods and greetings.

"Good afternoon, Dean Max," one student called out, bowing slightly.

Rize simply nodded, maintaining her composed expression as she led Max through the academy's wide inner courtyard.

Ghidorah Academy had grown massively over the last six years, and it now consisted of multiple specialized sections:

The Outer Path, designed for children just beginning their cultivation journey. It focused on physical training and basic martial understanding.

The Middle Path, reserved for students who had awakened their spirits and reached at least level 20. These students were taught advanced techniques, formations, and early combat concepts.

And finally, the Inner Core Grounds—restricted to the top ten students of each year. This elite training area was filled with spiritual formations, simulation fields, and instructors personally handpicked by Max himself. It was here that Ghidorah Academy's true monsters were forged.

As Max and Rize approached the Inner Core, the atmosphere shifted. Spirit power lingered heavily in the air, and the ground itself pulsed with quiet strength.

Max's presence didn't go unnoticed.

Even before they fully arrived, two presences calmly approached—almost as if they had sensed Max coming the moment he left his office.

Gwen and Malaika walked up to him with easy familiarity. Each kissed him lightly on a cheek.

"Finally crawled out of your cave, huh?" Gwen teased with a smirk.

Max raised an eyebrow and replied smoothly, "Don't worry. Soon enough, all of your caves will be filled by me."

He didn't even blink as he said it, and the boldness of his words sent waves of stunned silence through the courtyard. The girls around him flushed red instantly—Rize included.

"Don't forget you're the Dean now," Gwen muttered as she glanced around. Fortunately, no one else is here to hear that, she thought, shooting Max a quick glare.

Max just shrugged and kept walking.

Soon, they reached a large hall—the Common Hall—a private space where the top ten elite students lived, relaxed, and trained when they weren't on missions or learning.

As Max entered, every student inside immediately stood up and saluted, recognizing him with respect.

"Dean."

Among the seven present, four were already familiar. They were the core of Max's elite team: Lulu and the others who had been with him since even before Max got the Ghidorah Academy.
