Chapter 208 - Bounties on The Sea

It'd been 3 days since the crew left Arabasta. All of them were fully recovered from their Injuries. All of them had a sense about them that they felt, stronger, more capable than ever!

in some form or fashion in their minds they had a feeling about just how big the world was going to get. Island after island, challenge after challenge, the world seemed to be getting endlessly bigger in scope

Currently the crew was resting as they gently cruised through the azure waters of the Grand Line, onto where ever the log pose lead them next!

As well, Many of them had become acquainted with the gifts that the King of Arabsata had given them.

Noir his Tea Set

Kirk his Historical Atlas Map Catalogue

Dezzi their microscope

Kále a proper cleaning kit that was said to last forever

Jeanne her specialty and exquisite hookah hand picked by the king himself

And Finally, Leroy, who was given something said to be priceless, a music box. A simple light melody of 'Teem Ti Titi'. A intricate mural across the inner box like that on the ceiling of the Mausoleum and Adorned across the Palace.

The new Member Raven wad becoming as well acquainted with the others as she could. Truthfully she wasnt wanting to push it. But she didnt want any dead air

As for The Horizon Palm, it'd undergone extensive repairs. Metal wrapping around the figure head, giving leroy his seat back, the railing having pieces of wood replaced, and all holes were filled.

"Ah~" Leroy let out a stretch as raised his arms into the air. Sitting a top the Palm Figure head

Elsewhere, the navigator would've absolutely been devouring and scouring every page of the Atlas he was given, dying to see all of the styles of each maps creator, he was manning the whipstaff at the moment. The log pose had started to signal they were getting off course, so he was right at it, fixing it. There was something in the air that Kirk couldn't place his finger on, he didn't know if these winds were just knew or some sort of crazy weather any time soon.

Noir was already putting his wonderful tea set to use, the scent of the salty sea combined with a distinctive sweet smell now wafting through the crew was mouth-watering. Bursting from the kitchen with a big grin on his face, he announced the newest thing he had brewed!

"Tea time, everyone~!" He held two serving trays in his hands, balancing them with ease. Among the cups of tea, there were sugar cubes, lime slices, and even some short bread biscuits Noir had baked earlier that would pair well with the sweetness of the tea.

"Today is a Karkade tea! Fresh from Arabasta! Im not sure how sweet you guys like your tea, but I did bring out some extra cubes, just in case!" He quickly went around to each crew member on deck, handing them their drinks.

Coming up to Raven in particular though, Noir handed her a specific cup, one decorated with some mint leaves to show the extra care in it.

"Here you go, my dear. If this sugar isn't up to your standards, then I can always get you some honey," A cool smile slipped onto his lips as his eyelids lowered, already flirty with the new crewmate, "if you desire it, deserve something as sweet as yourself."

"Thank You Noir" Raven gave a soft smile

Raven wore a pair of shades, and a thin black tank top and pants, Her eyes gazing across the pages of the Book she had in her hands

He gave her a small wink before starting to pass the rest of the tea out to the crew.

Kále took the tea from Noir, he sipped at it slowly. He wasn't a big tea drinker, and he had no fucking clue what "Karkade Tea" even means. He placed the cup on the deck next to where he was. His ears overheard Noir drooling over Raven, the weird new girl who appeared on the ship. randomly. "Another owner claims the lapdog I see." He said snarkily.

On the ground, laid out in front of Kále was his brand-spanking-new cleaning kit. Complete with oils, fancy cloths, powder balls, brushes and an Awl and hammer. His vagabond mind failed to comprehend the difference between this and his other sword cleaning kit (Which consists entirely of a stained black rag and a bucket of questionable liquid.) To him it was all the same.

He had seen the older students from Shimotsuki Dojo use similar kits before. Next to the cleaning kit was his 3 swords. Sujihiki, Senkusha IV and Kikumori. He stared at the 3 swords, then over at the cleaning kit. He went back and forth a few times, he just didn't really know how to get started. It was simply too posh for his mind.

Raven gave a soft smile as she gave a soft chuckle at how the Swordsman responded. "Noirs no Lap Dog. He's a gentleman."

"Yeah! Noirs not a Lap Dog!" Leroy said tilting back and looking at those on the Deck while upside down. "He's an Attack dog!"

Raven Chuckled at her new Captains antics.

Cooo~

The sound of a Wailing bird came over the air. Lone in the wind. Causing the Markswoman to look up into the air from her project she worked on in the Crows nest. "Oh hey! It's a News Loo!"

The Bird was Black and white in color, feathers drifting through their wings as they flew through the air. The Bird looked similar to a Loon, with a long neck like that of an albatrosses. It's head adorned with a leather cap like that of an aviators mixed with a penny cap, a long feathered ornament popping out of the top. Across the cap were the words 'Upton' across the front.

It wore a small leather bag with a golden hook clasp in the front.

Raven gently closed her book and walked up to kirk at in the galley and wagged her finger at the navigator to follow before walking down the deck. Gazing up into the Sky "Jeanne! Flash a Berry at it!"

Jeannes cheeks flushed slightly at the Scholars words. Still trying to get used to such a sight on the ship. She dug in her satchel and pulled a coin from it and held it up in the 100 piece. The bronze surface shining in the air.

The Sight of the Coin caught the Birds attention. And shifted course before leaning to the side and gliding towards it.

Upon landing, the Loo pulled a small slip of paper from the side of the leather bag, indicating a list '100=New Issue' '250=Week Old Reissue.'

Jeanne thought for a second as the Bird tucked the Paper away and pulled a total of 350 Berry from her satchel. And held up two fingers. Holding out the Coinage the Loo pecked gently the coins from the palm and slipped them into the front pouch. Sounds of jingling being heard as the Loo opened the top pouch and grabbed the Papers rolled up with its beak. Jeanne taking them "Thanks!"

"Cooo~" The Bird vocalized and lifting a wing out to the side before flying off!

A moment later, Jeanne was on the Deck of the Palm with the News Papers in hand. "I wonder what happened last week...I didn't get a chance to Read the papers while we were in Arabasta." She said sitting the New issue on the Table near the Railing.

Bits of sweat rolled down her face as she read the title of the Week Old Issue. 'Arabasta In Ruins! Marshal Takeover!' The crew had gathered around to see what the commotion was. Jeannes eyes growing wider as she flipped the pages. The Paper falling to the ground as she held three pieces of paper in hand before slamming them into the table.

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE BY ORDER OF THE WORLD GOVERNMENT

Were the words across the Three pages. Bounties for Three Individuals. 'Massamune Kále' Worth '115,750,343'. 'Noir' Worth '115,725,345'

And Finally. 'Falcon D. Leroy' Worth '215,000,000'

"Well Well..." Raven spoke. The Slightest hint of uncalm in her voice.

"AHAHAHAH! Look at that! My Bounty Went Up! Look how big it is now" He said Holding the Paper in hand. Smile wide across his face. "And look at that Picture!" He said showing the Bloodied Image of His Face to his crew

"Seems like a 12% increase from Hornigolds Frozen Bounty..." Raven said folding her Arms, a soft smile coming back across her face
