Chen Ke wanted to speak to Jacob and Jack alone, so he glanced at Nightingale, who understood his intention, softly walked out of the room, and closed the door.
He came up to Jacob, looked at little Jack beside him, and squatted down to ask, "Can I trust you?"
Little Jack nodded, his eyes filled with panic and confusion.
"Jacob's eyes will be alright, but during this time, the other children will need your care," Chen Ke said.
"I don't know if I can do it..." little Jack shook his head.
"Chen Ke, things aren't as bad as you think. I've been through everything, this is just a minor issue," Jacob said.
Chen Ke pulled out his wallet from his pocket, took out all the British Pound notes, and stuffed them into little Jack's hands.
Little Jack looked at the large sum of money in his hand, took a deep breath, having never seen so much money before.
"Are you giving all this to me?" little Jack asked, his voice trembling.
