Chapter 134 - Forever Stands The Cobra

Before Neo knew it, he was engaged in combat with three of the enemy attackers, and not a single one showing any signs of weakness.

Neo wasn't for his friend's plan, and in all honesty he didn't even care if he was ejected.

He simply had his pride, and that was enough to worry about.

The ground shook as a boy with slicked back dark hair charged at him in the snow tundra of the grand arena.

Neo sidestepped, as strands of his bright blue hair flew into the sky, painting the cloudy backdrop with water-like colors.

Slamming his fist downward, toward the attacker's back- A crushing blow detonated loud enough to shock even the boy's savage teammates.

'Damn these pillagers...'

Other than that single thought, the cobra's mind was empty, as his nerves were steeled.

Another Axis twitched directly in front of him, this one wore many ice-colored jewelry around the base of her neck.

This one, he remembered was called Serra of House Viren, yet that did not matter, as he launched the incoming attacker back with a powerful force of raw Primis Energy.

A third ascended behind him, and propelled into the air as a flaming ball shot right passed him and toward the defensive lines of the Phoenix team.

Neo had a series of panicked thoughts, but decided against any logic that he may find, and threw his already chilled fists into the snow below him.

Immediately breaking through any ice, his fists shook the ground like an earthquake.

The drums halted as he turned, the once attacker was now prone next too a large crater residing in the farthest visible tree.

And then as one of the larger vanguards shot out from the closest tree line, the drums of war grew louder, and the fans cheered like wild beasts with their chants of chaos and havoc.

'Damned psychopaths.'

Neo lifted his arms as protection from the coming onslaught, but with two of the strongest warriors on the Frostfang team about too combine their strengths against him, it was only shortly that this would become a true battle of attrition.

Before the two forces met him... A third made itself known from the corner of his vision, slamming into both vanguards with truly impeccable force.

"Come on!"

Leo yelled with a surprising amount of anger rising in his voice, as the right sided vanguard slammed directly into the one approaching from the left, and shooting like a comet into a large mound of snow.

"AT LEAST TRY AND TARGET ME!"

Leo screamed as he landed with immense power coming to a skidding stop, dragging pounds on pounds of snow with him.

Without hesitation, the Lion turned with incredible reflexes, catching the flaming ball that was about too shoot right past him.

"Lucky peasants..."

He growled, as he launched himself into the direction of the ally attackers.

Neo held his arms out, as the two vanguards pulled themselves out of the snow with angered expressions on their faces.

"Now that there aren't any distractions, let us continue."

The largest of the two vanguards met his pace with a twitch, and sent a strike toward Neo's face, which was countered by a powerful grip on his wrist.

Neo gaze grew sharper as time stopped, and for a moment he stared dead into the soul of the halted vanguard.

"You aren't the only ones with the money to rig the game..."

A terrible grin etched itself into the terrifying portrait of the Cobra's face.

Only one emotion could replace the unexplainable wrath that these Frostfang players carried on their faces like trophies.

And that was of course...

Terror.

Le'ander of House Orion...

Le'ander stood up in the spectators box as the entirety of the game's momentum shifted in mere seconds.

There had always been dread within the old man's poor soul of the game that he manipulated from the start.

The Phoenix aetherball team had been much weaker than he had hoped this year, with the terrible situation with the team captain, introduction of an assumed Stray as one of the starting attackers, and even the multi game suspension of the school's strongest first year.

However, all doubts seemed too fade as Neo held off nearly half the team with his raw genetic power.

"HAHA! Eat that!"

Le'ander couldn't help but yell, echoing throughout the entire top row of the frozen stands.

On the opposite side of the spectator box, Rhysara of House Rhino stood as well; however, unlike The Headmaster of Phoenix Academy, the queen of frost wore her strongest general at her side like a slave.

They called him The Wendigo, but Le'ander seen through that obnoxious name for a cold blooded murderer.

The terrible scars and burns that lined Sazir's body like a plague were all but discreet, and told a much larger story that just some old battle wounds.

No...

Le'ander's smirk grew wider, as his plan played out directly in front of him like harmony of chaos being told like a story of the ancient muses.

'Blaze... You did not die without one hell of a fight.'

And it was true, the adopted son of Le'ander had indeed ruined Sazir from the inside and out.

The old Headmaster- even with one eye, could see the terrible trauma in the eyes of the once strong and proud warrior.

The fury of the Phoenix had buried itself deep within the soul of The Wendigo, which would make it all the easier for the prodigal son to finish the job.

Somehow and someway, Le'ander's smirk grew ever wider as the plentiful night continued.
