As Chase stood in the victory of his own hard work, he froze, and his blood ran cold.
Nervously looking around, he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary...
But far above a single figure hovered in the air like a mighty source of energy. Of course he knew her name though.
Rhysara of Frostfang, lifted her mighty claymore, and prepared to unleash a terrible attack on the stadium.
Then standing in front of Chase before he could even gather what was going on, was the slick black haired Dorian.
"Kid, you might wanna run like hell."
Dorian lifted two aetheric daggers, and stared down the murderer of Chase's father.
"She... She killed my dad..."
"I know kid, and she is about to kill you and everyone in this coliseum... SO RUN!"
Chase did just as the man said, and the ground around him exploded with a mighty roar, he lost his footing and slipped off of the edge of a near endless chasm.
'Is this the end...?'
Then everything flashed white...
He was standing at the center of the arena once more, it felt like he had just whispered his words of victory, and then he looked up to see Rhysara preparing the attack once again, but then she stopped.
"LEANDER!"
She screamed with a mighty rage.
And then another figure hovered far above her on the opposite side of the arena.
Leander had a hand on the strand of hair that always covered his one eye, when he whispered words into the very head of Chase.
'Look away boy... You do not want to see this.'
Out of pure fear, he dropped to the ground and covered his eyes with his entire arm.
Dorian of House Graves
Dorian was running full sprint across the fences of the viewing platform of the coliseum, thousands of people were running toward the exits, while some stood proudly screaming their chants of victory.
"Fools..."
Leander looked like some sort of god, it had been years since he had exposed his false eye, and Dorian was quite afraid of what would happen if he did once again.
After all, last time Leander had destroyed an entire plane of existence with that very eye.
The headmaster lifted the strand of hair, and immediately the world ran cold... It looked as if he had gained back thirty years of life, and his hair flew back like a nonexistent gust of wind had taken the arena by storm.
And of course there was his eye...
On his left side of his face, where a normal golden eye should have been, lie a ball of countless constellations, it made sense after all... His father was the god of constellations.
Rhysara stood just as strong on a small platform of ice, but she genuinely started to look terrified once the mighty ball of galactic energy took form over the entire arena like the complete opposite of the Pyrothar...
"Unbelievable!"
Dorian yelled, feeling a sense of euphoria.
The man had outdone himself this time, as a true source of spiritual energy took over the sky, and began to empower his elderly body.
Then before time could even pass, the two titan's shot forward, Rhysara's sword crashed into a barrier protecting the headmaster, but it was of no use.
Thousands of golden chains shot from the ground underneath the arena, and wrapped themselves around the queen of Frostfang.
Dorian slid off of the viewing platform, and flipped into the arena, landing with plenty of style.
Feeling the ground around him quake, he summoned his affinity.
Skeletal arms reached out from the ground below him, and Dorian gave them a simple command.
"Protect the children!"
Dorian ran forward, with his daggers dangling from his belt, as he sprinted, and jumped over several chasms.
Leander had many abilities, but the most complex of them all were his time manipulation, on par with most of the weaker gods.
Although it was considered a cardinal sin to even dream of using it on such a level, Leander could litterly not lose a fight.
That was at the cost of his life force though...
Meaning for the sakes of all of humanity, Dorian could not let Leander fight this fight alone.
He used Axis twitch, and shot into the air like a comet, putting his right hand dagger directly into the back of the queen.
"This is not a fight you want ma 'lady..."
He whispered into the ear of the ice queen.
"YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT I WANT MORTAL!"
She screamed, as thousands of pillars of ice shot up and threatened to crush Dorian between them.
Activating his Axis affinity, he slithered through all of the pillars at the speed of light, dodging each and every one of them.
Landing back on the ground, he felt a much more vivid horror enter the fray.
'Son of a bitch...'
Xen, also known as The Grand Paladin, and king of Vallmora hovered above all.
His indigo colors vibrating like a hue of undisputed energy, causing everyone's blood to run cold, including that of Leander's.
"Fools... You my wage war, but to fight in the presence of your king is the utmost pathetic of crimes."
Xen shut his eyes, and everyone around him crashed into the ground with mighty force.
Rhysara flew into the walls of the coliseum, and Leander shot through the sky, turning into a star in the vibrant black sky above them.
Dorian was the only one still standing, granted that was because he was a paladin, all be it not as strong as Xen, but definitely able to withstand his king force.
"My lord..."
Dorian said, with a taste of distain.
"Fool, you know better."
Xen said as he hovered back down to ground level.
He gave a quick gaze toward the immobilized heir of the Phoenix.
"So he lives..."
Dorian drew his daggers.
"And he will continue to live..."
"What could you possibly do to stop me?"
"I would slay your daughters in their sleep, end your cheater wife's existence, and law waste to the capital of Orion overnight..."
Xen began to take his true shape, summoning his indigo spear, but Dorian set his daggers down, halting the king from drawing his weapon.
"But I wouldn't dare as long as the boy lives."
He gazed back at the boy.
"You know as well as I do, that an heir of the Phoenix clan rivals my throne do you not?"
"Then prepare him to one day take the throne... You do not have any sons correct?"
Xen nodded, his indigo eyes glowing like the crystals of the dwarven mines.
"Fine, I will leave him as if, and when the time comes he will marry my eldest daughter, or he will die in the cold depths of the coming war."
And with that, the ground shook, and the king was gone.
"Damnit all..."
Dorian cursed.
Now it was out, maybe not to the public, but Rhysara and Xen knew of the true origin of Chase of House Phoenix...
'Maybe It would have been a greater mercy to just let the boy die in the underbelly arena...'
