Thanks to possessing the cells of Ōtsutsuki Shibai, Sanzu Amado was successfully accepted by Uchiha Mirai.
Mirai brought him to Orochimaru's underground lab and said calmly,
"From now on, this will be your home. As long as you work hard for me, you'll get everything you've ever wanted."
Hearing that, Amado nodded excitedly.
"My Emperor, I will not let you down!"
Mirai simply shrugged, noncommittal.
As long as someone was human, they had desires.
And as long as they had desires, he could control them with ease.
And if that failed, he could always rely on Kotoamatsukami.
So even though Amado was a meticulous schemer, Mirai didn't feel the need to be overly cautious.
With Mirai leading the way, the two of them walked deeper into the lab.
Along the way, Amado couldn't close his mouth in amazement, stunned by the rare materials and cutting-edge equipment around him.
The experimental materials and instruments within the Kara organization were already considered top-tier in the ninja world. But compared to this place, they were like child's play.
This lab was massive, yet everyone inside moved with precise coordination, focused on their individual tasks and strictly adhering to protocol.
Some parts of the facility were obviously fully automated, with processes operating in streamlined mass production.
Compared to this, the procedures Amado once established in Kara felt like something out of a playroom.
Before long, they arrived at the core of the facility.
Waiting in the central hall was Orochimaru, who greeted them with curiosity.
Mirai introduced the newcomer briefly. "This is Sanzu Amado, the one behind the clone and cybernetic enhancements in Kara."
Orochimaru's eyes lit up with intrigue. "You created Boro?"
Amado nodded. "Yes. He was one of mine."
Orochimaru grinned. "Then from now on, you'll assist me. I'm quite interested in the techniques you've mastered."
After Mirai defeated Boro, he had tossed the body over to Orochimaru without a second thought.
Orochimaru had since conducted a thorough analysis of Boro's physiology and abilities.
Even he had to admit—Amado's methods in modifying clone bodies were impressive.
"By the way, Amado," Mirai asked, "do you have the cells of Ōtsutsuki Shibai on you?"
Amado nodded and immediately pulled out a device from his coat.
He pressed a button, and what had seemed like a small, thumb-sized container expanded into a human-sized nutrient tank.
Suspended within the tank was a pale, fleshy mass.
Powerful energy radiated from the tissue, so intense that even Orochimaru felt a chill run down his spine.
"Mirai," Orochimaru asked, narrowing his eyes, "who exactly is Ōtsutsuki Shibai?"
Mirai answered, "He is said to be the God of the Ōtsutsuki Clan."
"An existence that has long transcended the bounds of mortal strength—no one knows how powerful he truly is."
Orochimaru's pupils contracted slightly at that.
"And how did you manage to get your hands on his tissue?"
Amado spoke in a low voice.
"When Ōtsutsuki Isshiki learned about my abilities, he gave me a sample of this flesh and ordered me to implant its cells into every Inner of Kara."
"It wasn't until later that I realized the tissue came from Ōtsutsuki Shibai."
"As for how Isshiki got it in the first place, I have no idea."
Orochimaru's eyes gleamed. "So Boro had them too?"
Amado nodded.
"Yes. But just because someone receives Shibai's cells doesn't mean they'll awaken his powers. Boro was one of those failures."
"No matter." Orochimaru licked his lips, visibly thrilled.
As long as the samples were sufficient, success would come eventually.
The greatest challenge in cell transplantation was rejection.
The more powerful the cell, the more likely it was to devour the host.
Take Hashirama's cells, for example—they almost always consumed their hosts.
And these were the cells of Ōtsutsuki Shibai, the god of the Ōtsutsuki clan. The rejection rate would be unimaginable.
But judging from Amado's tone, it seemed he had already solved that issue.
How could Orochimaru not be excited?
He was already thinking about how to transplant some of those cells into himself.
Amado, ever tactful, immediately said, "Lord Orochimaru, from now on, you will be in charge of distributing Shibai's cells."
Orochimaru nodded in satisfaction. "Very good. You won't regret this."
Then he turned his gaze back to Uchiha Mirai.
"By the way, Mirai-kun…"
"When I was studying Boro's body, he revealed some interesting intel."
Mirai raised an eyebrow. "What kind of intel?"
Orochimaru explained slowly, "Apparently, the Kara leader, Jigen, once ordered him to destroy a few modified humans. But instead, Boro secretly hid them away."
"The place was supposedly an old lab in the Land of Snow."
Amado's eyes lit up. "I remember now—yes, that's true."
"There were two of them: Ada and Daemon. Both had been implanted with Ōtsutsuki Shibai's cells, but for some unknown reason, Jigen gave the order to eliminate them."
"I never would've guessed that Boro disobeyed and secretly kept them alive."
Everyone in the room was sharp. They immediately came to the same conclusion.
For Jigen to personally order the destruction of modified humans, there could only be one explanation—
These two had developed powers… that even Jigen—no, even Ōtsutsuki Isshiki—couldn't control.
Mirai chuckled. "Guess I'll go take a look at that facility."
"Orochimaru, get Amado settled in."
With that, he vanished on the spot.
...
Land of Snow
Deep within a chain of snowy mountains, the landscape was so desolate that even wild animals were nowhere to be seen.
Standing before a sheer cliff, Uchiha Mirai clenched his fist—and threw a punch.
In the next instant, the thick wall of snow and ice exploded, sending debris tumbling down into the canyon below.
The earth trembled. From the mountain peaks, snow surged down like an avalanche, rolling in waves like a crashing ocean.
Nature, at that moment, bared its fangs. In the face of such force, even the strongest beings seemed insignificant.
But Mirai remained unmoved.
"Seal."
With a single word, a surge of chakra spread in all directions.
The cascading snow halted mid-air and froze instantly.
The devastation of moments ago vanished, replaced by stillness.
Mirai stepped into the newly opened cave, curiosity flickering in his mind.
Those two modified humans—just what kind of power did they possess… to make even Ōtsutsuki Isshiki decide they had to die?
