My brain had shut down, rebooted and restarted all within a blink of an eye as I stared at Dove in complete bafflement. I knew we had gotten close and I could tell he was attracted to me. Not that I wasn't to him but I hadn't expected things to have progressed that quickly.
I felt numb for a second as I watched him look at me with pure horror on his face before pointedly turning away from me. His skin had gotten extremely red and his body started swaying.
For a moment I feared he was going to faint off the bench but it seemed the ice cream was the only thing keeping him strong as he tightly held onto it. "I'm so sorry," he quietly apologized, "I should have asked you first. Do you want me to go? I can go if you want me too."
"Dove," I tried to stop him from rambling on but once Dove was off it was pretty hard to reign him back in.
"I ruined everything," he looked up to the sky and for a moment I worried he was going to cry.
