Chapter 19 - Chapter 14: The Death of a Great Being

Sero looked at the painting that read "the God of the Heavens". He noticed that the nameplate was glowing. Out of sheer curiosity, Sero decided to touch it (is this guy being serious right now?). However, the second his hand brushed the glowing text, he suddenly found himself in an unknown place again, this time finding himself in what seems to be a dark void.

Sero looks around for clues to where he was, however it was as if he was just floating in air and could not control where he wanted to go. As Sero struggled to try and move around, he heard something in the distance. As he tried to find the source of the noise, a bright light flashed his eyes, nearly blinding him. As he squinted, he saw two figures clashing with one another. One was a large man, with a bright white beard and a warm golden aura (wait a damn minute, where have I heard this before). He was also in what seemed to be battle armor, the armor also being as white as the snow with golden markings. The other was an extremely smaller guy compared to the god, and was basically pitch black. In fact, the only reason Sero could tell that the other guy was there was because it was darker than the darkness around it. It seemed like it was bored, while the figure that appeared to be God seemed like he was out of breath and tired (wait what).

As Sero observed the battle from where he was, he noticed that the giant man resembling God was talking to the pitch dark entity.

"What in the name of the heavens are you to enter my kingdom?!" God shouted at the mysterious being.

The entity did not answer God's question, which seemed to annoy him (isnt he supposed to be all calm or something-actually never mind), so he shot what seemed to be a beam of light at the entity. Sero had to cover his eyes from the sheer brightness the light released when it got launched.

However, the entity disappeared just before the beam hit it, which seemed to suprise God, as he exclaimed, "What the-".

But before Sero even comprehended what was going on, God started to vomit golden blood from his mouth. This was due to how the entity had conjured up what seemed to be a pure black sword and rooted it into where God's heart would have been. The wound seemed to damage him greatly, as he started to scream in agony. The wail almost deafened Sero, and he had to block his ears to keep himself from losing his hearing.

The entity then pulled the blade out and sliced off God's left arm, making his screams even louder. Sero did not even notice that the entity cut off the arm until it randomly detached from God's body. As God was screaming from the pain, he formed a sword out of thin air and swung it at the entity, however to his shock, it was able to dodge it, almost effortlessly.

"How were you able to-" God started to ask, but was interrupted when the entity cut off the hand that was holding the sword (wait, what is God doing? Dodge these for heaven's sake).

Before it could get another strike, the entity was swatted by God's left hand (oh wait, he can heal? I guess it is expected) and sent flying across the space. As God was about to charge what seemed to be another light beam, the entity seemed to teleport and punch God in the face, interrupting the process. As God was recovering from the punch, which seemed to have hurt a lot, the entity conjured what seemed to be a tiny white ball and shot it at God. When the ball hit God, it seemed to explode, blowing off half of his upper body. Something seemed wrong, as the wound was not healing, and it was evident in God's face that he was also struggling to heal himself. It was as if something prevented him from being able to heal.

As Sero watched from a distance, he suddenly noticed that there were black marks that started to spread from the wound, and it spread quickly, reaching his arm in an instant.

The entity then brandished its sword and approached God, who was now yelling in pain. It then looked down at God, and seemed to mumble something that Sero couldn't hear, however it seemed to shock God. Before God was about to say something, the entity sliced God's head off.

Sero tried to use the skill "Information" to identify the weapon, as it was able to slice God's body, which was said to be indestructible and invincible, but when he used it, Sero was met with a message that read, "Weapon Is Unable To Be Identified."

The entity's head suddenly turned straight at Sero, startling him. Sero then blacked out and found himself back in the large hallway.

"What was that?" Sero asked himself as he stood up. He was both fascinated and shocked at what he had just witnessed.

As he continued his walked down the hallway, Sero couldn't stop thinking about one thing that was stuck in his mind; he kept wondering what that entity was, and how it was able to kill an omnipotent being like God so effortlessly. Sero suddenly saw a door at the end of the tunnel, but as he was about to reach it, he suddenly found himself teleported into a new space. The new place was not gloomy, like the previous one. Instead, it was brightly light and spacious. It had a wide variety of different furnitures, such as fireplaces and tables. It also included bookshelves filled to the brim with various items, such as books and pictures.

There was a massive pink bed with way too much pillows and blankets at the end of the room. In fact, most of the room was a blend of pink and white (what does this room belong to, a girl?). As Sero walked around the room, he picked up a photo and took a look at its contents. He then dropped the picture, realizing the people in the picture. After all, how could he forgot the faces of Amayako, Fragmo, Alegriso, Domfan, and most importantly, the one he has been looking for, Ellie?

Sero looked around the place, noticing that each and every one of the pictures featured the faces of him and his party, either partying or in an dungeon. However, what shocked him the most was that all these pictures were taken by none other than Ellie, who had photographed almost everything the party did.

That was when he heard a familiar voice behind him asking in disbelief, "Is that you Sero?"
