Leaving the office of the clan chief, Kai Bu smiled at Lotcar beside him,
"Who would have thought the Old Clan Chief really values you? Had you not been manipulated by that power, maybe you'd already have become the clan chief.
But as I've said, I still can't be sure if you're under the influence of that power.
I absolutely won't allow anyone dangerous to become clan chief, gradually leading our clan into the Abyss."
Lotcar closed his eyes slightly, unsure how to respond, feeling Kai Bu's obsession with the position of clan chief.
Yet he didn't understand why Kai Bu had become so obsessively attached to it.
After thinking it over for a long while, Lotcar relaxed his shoulders,
"It's surprising that you'd let me meet with the Old Clan Chief. That he continues to support my becoming the acting clan chief with absolutely no opposition."
