Chapter 191 - Mech Types

When morning came, Shido stepped into the backyard of their house to do some light exercises and stretch his muscles. After warming up, he headed to the kitchen and began preparing breakfast.

Over the past three months, Shido had taken charge of cooking. His skills in the kitchen were exceptional, and the three girls quickly grew fond of his dishes, often requesting that he be the one to prepare their meals. Shido let out a long sigh at how he had unofficially become their personal chef, but he didn't really mind. Seeing their smiles as they enjoyed his food made it all worthwhile.

Fortunately, Shido also gained a helper, Tuare. Not wanting to remain idle in the household, she took it upon herself to handle the cleaning, both inside the house and in the backyard. Though it was tiring at times, Tuare was genuinely happy to contribute and be helpful in her own way.

When Tuare first tasted Shido's cooking, her eyes grew moist as memories of her peaceful days with her sister came flooding back. From that moment on, she began to deeply admire Shido's culinary skills and asked to learn under him. Shido didn't mind and gladly agreed to teach her how to prepare delicious meals.

Under his guidance, Tuare steadily improved and eventually came close to mastering all of Shido's cooking techniques. Not wanting to feel like a burden or useless in the household, Tuare was overjoyed when Shido suggested that she take over the responsibility of preparing their daily meals. For the first time in a long while, she felt like she had a meaningful role, someone who could something for him.

Since then, Tuare had become their main cook, while Shido only stepped into the kitchen occasionally, whenever he felt like it. Today was one of those days. Neither Tuare nor Rumia had gotten out of bed yet and it was understandable, given that both of them had drunk far too much alcohol the night before. Shido was sure they were suffering from hangovers at the moment.

Thinking about the two curious girls who ended up drunk, Shido let out a small smile. 'Hopefully, this will teach them not to mess with alcohol again.'  he thought.

"They should be coming down any minute now." he murmured to himself, sensing movement on the upper floor.

As for Clementine, she had already woken up, but chose to stay in bed a little longer. She was still tired from the previous night's activities, and she had to admit that even though her activity with Shido felt good, she couldn't beat him on the bed.

While the savory aroma of breakfast began to fill the kitchen, Shido took the opportunity to check his overall stats. Since he was alone, no one would question the odd sight of him pointing at the air as he summoned his interface.

Looking at his stats, Shido nodded in satisfaction. He had come a long way since the day he was reincarnated into the world of Date A Live. His growth was undeniable, he was now far more powerful than he had been at the beginning where he would hide between the battle of Tohka and Origami.

His wide array of skills, though numerous, each had their own value and versatility, proving useful in all kinds of worlds, be it fantasy-based or more grounded in modern reality.

However, Shido knew there could be a challenge if he were ever transported to a sci-fi world, especially one involving Mechas. His current abilities might not be enough in a world dominated by advanced technology and mechanical giants.

He could hack their system and robbed Mechas but Shido somehow wanted to have his own Mech.

If so, he should buy a Mech for himself if he was transported to another world with futuristic technologies.

'If that happens… I should probably get a Mech of my own.'

"I wonder what kind of Mecha would be best?" he mused aloud. "A Gundam would be great… Kataphrakts, Knightmare Frames… even an Armored Core unit sounds nice."

With excitement building, Shido opened the system shop and searched for Mechs. To his surprise, and delight, they were actually available for purchase.

"Hmmm… there are so many to choose from," Shido muttered as he scrolled through the list of available Mechs. "If I had to pick… I really like Franxx and Evas are too weird, though."

Even as his eyes scanned the system interface, his hands moved on their own, expertly preparing breakfast without missing a beat. Not a single dish was overcooked, instead it was cooked perfectly, proof of how masterful Shido had become in the kitchen.

Despite the variety of choices, Shido let out a quiet sigh. Picking the perfect Mech wasn't as easy as it sounded.

"It's probably better to wait until I actually end up in a Mech world." he reasoned. "That way, I'll have a clearer idea of what suits the situation best."

With that, he closed the system shop and turned his full attention back to the meal. But just as he finished cooking and began plating the food, a sudden thought crossed his mind.

"…I should just buy an LBX."
