Diana was stunned for a moment. "Rachel, did you confront Kingsly?"
Jasper had emailed her the day before, saying that Diana had visited William Franklin. It seemed William had kept it from Diana.
Seeing Rachel didn't respond, Diana sighed softly and sat down with her on the couch, holding her hand. "Rachel, honestly, I'm shocked."
Rachel leaned against the couch, lowering her eyes. "Surprised about what?"
"Surprised that your reconciliation with Kingsly wasn't real," Diana said with a hint of disappointment.
"Why?" Rachel turned her head, her composed eyes gazing at Diana.
Diana placed Rachel's hand on her lap and said, "I always hoped you could find happiness, and I knew Kingsly could give you that happiness."
Rachel didn't respond.
Diana continued, "These past few times, you invited me to go shopping with you. Seeing you so relaxed and at ease, I was truly happy. I..." Diana paused. I can't imagine that it was all just an act."
