[Sofia sighs] "Hey, don't get upset about what I am about to tell you, Lefah. My mom told me about your mom and dad last night. Like I am really sorry for asking my mom about your dad. My mom didn't want to tell me, but I forced her to. Like really sorry...."
"Stop it, Sofia. That's fine and I got this. Am good, trust me. So, chill out...." [Lefah smiled at Sofia]
[Sofia sighs] "Yeah, but I think that was too fast to know about you and your dad."
[Lefah smiled and responded immediately to Sofia] "For real, I got this shit on me. You know, that wasn't yesterday, but years ago, and I tried to be my own man. Lucky for me, I have got a mama and brother who always got my fucking back, even when I am wrong...."
[Sofia sighs] "Sounds crazy though, but I know you got this. I know how it feels, but you know, I am really sorry for talking about this, Lefah...."
[Lefah sighs and smiles] "Um, you know, Miss Anna has been my mama and also the best daddy ever since childhood and, besides, I have no beef with Lucas Hart, but I just don't want to see him in my life, and I don't even know whether he's alive...."
"See, I know you got this shit, but you need to come down, and I promise everything will be fine, Lefah..."[Sofia continues immediately Lefah finishes talking to her]
"Hey, I really appreciate every single moment, Sofia. I just want to see my man and Miss Anna happy. That's all, and I know they also got this. For real, I have got no beef with Lucas..."
"Okay and that's fine. "Hey, I got good news for you, Lefah..." [Sofia giggles]
"Whoo, like damn! Even the smiles on your face can tell me the real shit you got for me. So, what's good about the news you got for me this time, Sofia Hernández..."
"Hey, shut up. Um, see. I talked to my mom about going back to school again, and she was very happy for me. I was even thinking she wouldn't mind me after all that I did to her, but she did..." [Sofia smiles]
"Whoo! Goddamn! And I'm really happy for you too, Sofia. Like happy for you, yo, come on. Just give me a hug..." [Lefah smiled back at Sofia and hugged her]
[Both giggles and hugs]
"Thanks, Lefah..." [Sofia continues immediately after the laughter and the hugs]
"Yo, chill out, no need. I am just imagining how happy Mrs. Madison would feel. ---you know...." [Immediately Lefah finished talking to Sofia, his phone in his black suit started ringing, and it was Miss Anna calling his phone. But Lefah didn't pick up the call and put the phone back in his suit's pocket.]
[Sofia sighs] "Is your girlfriend calling or mistaken for someone else?"
"Oh, really? Are you for real? Like I don't know why, but you sound crazy and jealous, Sofia. Hey, that was Miss Anna calling my phone...."
"Okay then. "But if that was your mom, why didn't you pick up her call, Lefah?"
"I just want to tell her that I am no longer a kid, and I can take care of myself on the street...."
"Hey, shut up, that's bullshit to let her feel like taking care of her granddaddy."
[Both laughs]
[Sofia continues immediately after the laughter] "But you know, Miss Anna will definitely think I'm the one keeping you outside, so let go before, and you know what I mean, Mr. Big Man..." [Sofia smiled]
"Ugh...." But you got a point. Let's go back home before the old lady starts calling my phone because I am not ready to pick up her call..."
[Both giggle]
"Yeah, let's go, and my car is picked outside. Let me ride you home..."
"Eh, yo, chill out girl. We don't usually say any kind of words in the house of the Lord. You had better drive me home rather than ride me home. Got a different meaning now?"
"Hey, fuck you. "You are such a bad boy, but that's not what I mean, and I mean exactly like no fuck, but to drive you home..."
"Like demn! You have now got it right when it comes to speaking at church..."
"Very funny, let's go and we have got no time to waste Mr. Lefah. Your mamá is waiting. And I don't want any trouble with the old lady...."
"Um, okay, the Spaniard and American rice daughter..." [Lefah smiles]
"Hey, whatever...." [Sofia continues immediately]
[Both laughs]
[Lefah and Sofia stand up and run outside to drive home. Since Lefah knew the reason why Miss Anna was calling.]
[The next section, and the next day in school. "Rigby High School"]
[The school ball ringing in the morning]
[Lefah and Garriso were in their classroom studying with their class teacher, Miss. Olivia. Some minutes later. Something astounding happened in their classroom and all the students were shocked more especially Lefah and Garriso. The high school principal entered their classroom and introduced another new and old student too to the class and that was Sofia Hernández, who never dreamed going back to school because of the suspension letter she refused to sign after the suspension.]
[Door opens and closes]
Immediately Mrs. Madison opened the door and got inside the classroom. She smiled at them and said, "Good morning, Miss Olivia and good morning to you kids..."
[Miss Olivia smiled and hugged Mrs. Madison and the students responded immediately to Mrs. Madison] "Good morning, Principal...."
"Hey, how are you doing kids?" [Mrs. Madison continues immediately. They responded to her]
[Students responded immediately] "We are doing great, Principal..."
Garriso tapped, clasped and held Lefah's back and said, "Hey, Lee. "What's wrong with your woman and what does she want this morning, bro?"
[Garriso snickers]
