Chapter 15 - Chatper 15

Sofia quietly appeared behind the Abomination and struck him in the knee, forcing him to kneel, then hit him hard in the waist, which was now at the level of her punch. The Abomination immediately flew and crashed into a building, breaking through walls. Then she looked at Hulk, vanished again, and appeared behind him, but unlike the Abomination who didn't expect the attack, Hulk suddenly stepped forward, dodging Sofia's punch.

"Tch…"

Sofia clicked her tongue in irritation when she saw Hulk dodging her attack, but immediately disappeared and launched another attack.

"Hoo, this is surprising," said Morgana, watching how Hulk was slowly adapting to Sofia's sudden attacks.

"What's surprising?" asked Tony, seeing nothing special in their fight.

"The green titan is slowly adapting to her attacks, and his rage is gradually increasing," Morgana explained, looking into the infinite fury in Hulk's eyes.

"Hmm, but what does rage have to do with it?" Tony asked in confusion.

"Rage gives him strength," Morgana answered, watching as Hulk was slowly becoming stronger and faster.

"Of course, if it were just ordinary improvement, it wouldn't catch my attention… but if it's infinite rage, that's a different story," Morgana murmured quietly, leaving Tony to process the information.

"Wait! You mean that, if he gets angry enough…" Tony said in shock, looking at Morgana.

"Exactly. He can destroy the planet, even tear space apart with pure physical strength," Morgana confirmed Tony's thought, causing him to now look at Hulk with fear.

"Whoever made this serum… is either a complete lunatic, or didn't know what they were doing," Morgana said in a somewhat solemn tone, watching how Hulk was slowly gaining the upper hand against Sofia, even though she was still easily overpowering him thanks to her martial arts skills. Hulk fought instinctively, following only his own urges.

While Sofia and Hulk were fighting, the Abomination emerged from the rubble of the building and angrily looked around. When he saw Sofia fighting the Hulk, he immediately charged toward her.

Sofia was constantly attacking the Hulk from all sides using shadows, creating blades. Still, it wasn't very effective due to Hulk's immense durability, so she focused more on physical strength.

As the fight progressed, she felt her stamina slowly draining due to the continuous use of shadows and physical exertion. Hulk was now beginning to take the upper hand, forcing her to dodge his blows while trying to land her own.

Because of her increasing focus on Hulk's attacks, she couldn't pay attention to her surroundings. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a massive fist rapidly approaching.

She quickly raised her arms in front of herself to defend from the sudden attack, but just as the fist was about to hit her, a small projectile struck the Abomination in the chest and exploded, knocking him to the side. The explosion also sent both Hulk and Sofia flying backward, though Sofia was more affected and now disoriented. The impact landed her on the hood of a car, but her body quickly began to regenerate.

"Cough..."

She spat blood from her mouth, slowly stood up, and wiped the blood from her lips. Then she looked at Hulk and the Abomination in front of her. Tony approached, hovering beside her.

"Are you alright?" Tony asked when he saw that Sofia had been hit by the explosion he had launched in an attempt to help her.

"I'm fine. Thank you for the help, Mr. Stark," Sofia replied, as she looked at her charred hands that fully regenerated in just a few seconds. Her clothes were torn, so she wrapped herself in shadows to cover her nearly bare body.

"I hope you still have some energy left for the fight," Tony said solemnly, looking toward Hulk and the Abomination who now stood apart, forming a triangle. Sofia said nothing but took a combat stance and used shadows to create two knives, while a shadow blade formed on her elbow.

Tension rose as they saw Hulk raise both arms above his head and shout angrily:

"HULK SMASH!!"

Then he slammed the ground, creating cracks that headed straight toward the Abomination. He quickly dodged and grabbed a car, spun, and hurled it at high speed toward Hulk, whose hands were still on the ground. Hulk didn't react in time and the car hit him in the face, knocking him over and making him roll backward.

Sofia and Tony were slightly surprised that Hulk attacked the Abomination, thinking the two would team up. However, they quickly regrouped when they saw the Abomination charging toward the stunned Hulk.

Tony fired several projectiles, but the Abomination grabbed another car and threw it at them, the explosion destroying the projectiles mid-air. Sofia used the moment of his distraction and teleported beneath him, quickly created two shadow spikes, and stabbed him in the knees.

The Abomination screamed loudly and dropped to his knees. With a swift motion, he swung to the side in an attempt to hit Sofia, but she quickly ducked. His fist passed just beside her face, and then she was swallowed by Shadow, Sofia reappeared about ten meters away from the Abomination.

The Abomination slowly got up when the shadow spikes disappeared, leaving only two holes in his knees. Still, he couldn't move like before, which significantly limited his ability to fight. He could only helplessly defend himself from Tony's long-range attacks, while Hulk quietly approached and struck him hard directly in the head, sending him flying.

Morgana had been watching the scene unfold with interest the whole time, sitting on the edge of a building and swinging her legs in the air.

"Looks like the battle is finally over," Morgana said, watching the Abomination lying motionless on the ground, unsure if he was unconscious or dead.

She looked at the watch on her wrist and saw that 20 minutes had passed since the fight began. She gently jumped off the building, landing without making a sound, and approached the Abomination, who was still breathing despite Hulk's powerful blow.

"They really are tough," Morgana said, as Sofia quietly appeared beside her, and Tony slowly approached, leaving Hulk standing off to the side, cautiously watching Morgana, sensing the danger radiating from her.

"Truly good instincts, even though you're just a newborn," Morgana praised Hulk, while Tony and Sofia looked on somewhat confused, trying to understand what exactly she meant.

Hulk continued to watch Morgana closely, then suddenly turned around and jumped onto a building, slowly moving away. The others could only watch as he disappeared into the distance.

"Now, what should I do with you?" Morgana looked at the Abomination, then toward a helicopter that was landing. From it emerged General Ross and his daughter, who now looked sadly and helplessly in the direction Hulk had disappeared.

"I really have to commend you on your skill at creating a monster, General Ross," Morgana said sarcastically, as Ross flinched the moment he heard her voice.

He could only mutter with difficulty: "Morgana Stark..."

"The one and only," Morgana smiled softly, while Tony barely held back a laugh when he saw Ross's reaction, knowing Morgana had always been a nightmare for people in high positions of power.

While they talked, a black car slowly approached in the distance, from which a familiar face emerged, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson.

"Let's go, Sofia," Morgana said when she noticed more and more "foxes" arriving, leaving Tony behind. He, shortly after them, also left.

Inside the living room, Morgana was lying down while listening to the reporter talk about tonight's riots.

"So, did you notice your mistakes?" Morgana asked Sofia, who was sitting next to her without taking her eyes off the TV.

"Yes… I'm not skilled enough at controlling the shadows, which is why her physical power is weak, unless I put in more energy. Also, I waste my energy on useless moves…" Sofia said quietly. "And I became dependent on this power, thinking I'm the strongest, losing the most important thing in a fight, the sense of danger and focus on the surroundings."

"Exactly." Morgana nodded slightly. "I hope you'll work on that. And remember, no matter how strong you are, there will always be someone stronger than you. Also, never lower your guard, even if you see a harmless child in front of you."

Sofia remained silent, which made Morgana feel a bit uncomfortable when she noticed her depressed state.

"Ah, don't worry. You only got your powers a few days ago, and you're not the only one who would forget something like that," Morgana said casually, trying to cheer up Sofia.

"Haha, thanks, Morgana," Sofia smiled faintly, realizing Morgana had misinterpreted her silence. Sofia was just thinking about all the mistakes she made during the fight.

Morgana nodded, satisfied to see Sofia returning to normal. Although Sofia was always quiet, Morgana, thanks to years of friendship, could easily recognize her mood.

When Sofia went to her room to rest from today's battle, Morgana slowly left the building and walked through the busy night city.
