Chapter 222 - Chapter 221: That's right, I am a man

Ryan had just mentioned kindness, and then, on his way to Pardofelis house, he killed three robbers, two human traffickers, and performed castration on two rapists.

So, the girl, who had just relaxed, became cautious again because this seemingly pure and beautiful young lady was far more brutal when it came to killing than any thug she had ever seen.

There were no angry shouts, no hysterical madness; she was too indifferent, taking lives simpler than slaughtering a chicken, and her methods exceeded that of humans.

A dark flash of the blade, and a muscular man over two meters tall was split in half, his blood splattering on the wall like tomato sauce.

Originally, she had planned to trick Ryan into another disguised house, but now she didn't dare. She obediently led him down a narrow alley, carefully removing the wall bricks.

"Is this your house?" Ryan asked, looking around with interest.

From the outside, it was just a dead-end street with no residents around, eerily quiet, and even thieves wouldn't bother to visit.

It was dusk, and a few stray cats were lazily basking in the sun on the walls. When they saw Pardofelis return, they lightly jumped down and meowed around her.

Then the girl took out a few cans, opened them, and gently petted the cats while they ate.

Ryan lowered his head and saw an orange cat rubbing against his leg. He paused for a moment and scratched its chubby chin.

Meow~

The orange cat rubbed even more enthusiasm, licking his fingers. The Thorn on its tongue made Ryan feel a little itchy.

"It seems like Big Can really likes you."

"Big Can?"

"Yeah, that's its name. This one's Little Can, this one's Brown Can, and this one's Lazy Can..." Pardofelis introduced the stray cats one by one, her face beaming with pride.

"Why do you call them cans?"

"Because when I was little, I almost starved to death. The black cat Master threw down a can, and ever since then, I started calling all the cats 'Can'."

Ryan was silent for a moment. If it were compared to childhood, he considered himself a child of fortune. At least he didn't have to struggle to survive like Pardofelis.

"It seems like you're not afraid of me anymore?"

"Uh, they trust you. At least you're a good person who doesn't kill people recklessly. Don't underestimate the cans, even if a thief runs into the alley, they'll come to report it, they won't just rub against your leg."

A good person? It seems hard to explain. The most brutal criminals in this Sundown Alley probably haven't killed as many people as I have.

Ryan gave a self-deprecating smile, holding the heavy orange cat in his arms and feeling its fluffy tail brushing against his face.

"Let's go inside. It wouldn't be good if someone finds your secret base."

"Oh right, come in, come in. White Can is not allowed in, you always treat my treasure as a scratching board."

Meow!

The white cat meowed in dissatisfaction, jumped onto the wall, turned its back on Pardofelis to show off its "weapon," and then, after hearing the sound of someone grinding their teeth, gracefully jumped up to a tree.

"Hmph, White Can is just naughty. Too bad there are no conditions here, otherwise, I would have dealt with it by now."

"Do these cats make you feel better?"

"Of course, they're our companions. Every time I get hurt or sick, I rely on them to take care of me. Every time I'm anxious, they run around by my side, and I immediately feel energized."

Isn't this just asking for someone when you're hungry? A kind of reflex.

Ryan rational mind automatically gave a scientific explanation but didn't say it out loud like Mobius would. He wasn't sure whether animals had souls, as there was a girl in front of him who seemed like a cat.

She slightly lowered her head and crawled through a hole in the wall. While Pardofelis blocked the hole, Ryan casually glanced around the room.

It was a room without doors or windows. Some of the evening sunlight shone through the roof holes, falling into large and small pots, which seemed to collect water when it rained.

The room was dark and messy. Ryan saw a pile of cans and boxes full of coins, and on the other side were a few boxes with "Black Blood Gang Property, Destroyers Will Die" painted in blood-red paint.

"What's that?"

"Ah, those are borrowed boxes, just did a little trick."

In other words, they were stolen.

Ryan didn't bother to expose her. He suddenly remembered something and looked around the room again. "Hey, where's your search warrant?".

"What search warrant? I'm a respectable businesswoman, a good citizen!" Pardofelis mouth twitched, and she quickly covered the boxes with a cloth. Seeing Ryan sharp eyes, she nervously licked her lips.

"Sometimes, I do little things, but I never hurt anyone, and I don't keep it all to myself."

"Then why steal things?"

"Borrowing them, I lend rich people's things to the poor. This way, everyone is happy, isn't it good?"

"Got it, you're a righteous thief. Be careful, one mistake and you'll be watched. In the filth, pure people are hated even more." Ryan had developed the habit of giving lectures when he saw a little girl like this.

"It's fine, I have a boss to protect me..." Pardofelis voice trailed off as she suddenly realized that even if she had a boss, they couldn't protect her.

This young lady was here to do something big and might offend some of the biggest bosses in Sundown Alley. After they retaliate, how could a small fry like her survive?

Ryan didn't notice the slight change in her expression. He was wandering around the 20-30 square meter room when he saw a broken wall at the back. He removed a brick, revealing a small yard surrounded by walls.

The yard wasn't big, but there was a water pipe hanging at the entrance, and a water tank was tied to a tree.

"This is your cooking place?"

"No, if I'm really hungry, I eat canned food. I have a lot."

"What about bathing?"

"I've stored water in the tank. I turn the switch on, and the water flows down, but it's a bit cold in winter."

This life was really primitive, just like a stray cat.

"Sorry, my life is this simple. If I have cans to eat and a place to bask in the sun, I'm already very satisfied. If you can't get used to it, I can introduce you to a safe hotel."

"Doesn't matter, I'm not picky about where I stay." Ryan waved his hand, shattering Pardofelis small plan, and then walked around the small yard twice.

It wasn't big, but it was very clean. There was a reclining chair in the corner. If the weather was nice, lying on it with a pot of tea would be very relaxing.

The walls separated the space into a private area. He jumped up to the wall and saw that the surroundings were full of collapsed, broken houses with scorch marks.

A large fire had burned down this area, and it seemed like no one in Sundown Alley was interested in rebuilding. Then, Pardofelis chose this place.

It was peaceful, and in the distance, he could see a church. It didn't seem like those fanatical believers, and the street was lively. Two gangs were fighting, though dangerous, it was full of vitality.

Ryan finally understood the difference between Sundown Alley and Snow Prison Town. The people here had already gotten used to the chaos, so they couldn't feel the oppressive despair.

Indeed, the people here were simple, and no one had ever considered collapse. No matter how the world changed, it always looked like this.

Ryan shrugged, roughly understanding the local customs of Sundown Alley, and then jumped back into the small yard and crawled back through the hole in the wall.

The orange cat immediately came to rub against his leg. Ryan reached out and scratched its face, then poked its ear. The orange cat simply lay on the ground and showed its round belly.

"Hey, I found that even though this place is a mess, it's actually quite comfortable. It's quiet, and I can play with the cat."

"You've never played with cats before?"

"Probably didn't have the time or opportunity. I'm usually too busy, and I've never seen such affectionate stray cats." Ryan casually said. In front of Pardofelis, he didn't need to maintain his Adam persona.

He only borrowed the appearance, but he didn't intend to endure suffering.

He curled his finger, and the air lifted the orange cat. The fat cat, originally scratching its back, froze when it realized it was "flying," then quickly started flipping in the air like an orange spiral.

Hahaha, this silly cat is really funny.

Ryan couldn't help but laugh, gently holding it in his arms, stroking its soft fur.

"It's bad to be too fat. If I have time in the future, I'll help you exercise. Air treadmill, and before long, you'll be slim."

Meow~

The orange cat gave a weak meow.

"Adam sister, you shouldn't tease Big Can, it holds grudges, be careful it pees on your pillow. Come on, the cans are ready."

"Can you do it?"

Meow~

Ryan didn't understand too much and thought it was too scared. Slowly getting up, he felt something was wrong.

What sister, is it talking about me?

He looked at the face in the orange cat's pupils and then laughed silently. This simulated appearance was indeed quite misleading. Back then, even he had mistaken it.

"You misunderstood, actually I..."

Ryan was explaining when he suddenly froze. On the bed across from him sat a petite girl, her legs crossed as she opened a can. A cow cat stood on her smooth back.

Her black strapless top and hot pants had already been taken off. After releasing the restraints, her breasts drooped due to gravity, and paired with her youthful face and petite figure, it could be considered majestic.

"What's wrong?" Pardofelis raised her head, blinked her blue-green heterochromatic eyes, then suddenly realized and grabbed the cow cat from behind to cover her chest.

"I only have two sets of clothes. I just washed one and didn't wear it. Don't you think it's free to be naked at home? Or are you really bothered by it?"

"Of course, I mind."

The girl looked a bit puzzled, then her gaze shifted to Ryan flat chest and once again realized something.

"It's okay, it's okay, you look only a few years older than me, you'll still grow."

The female cat's tail wagged, making his chest itch. She just threw it aside, while stretching her arms.

"Mainly, I don't have extra clothes to wear. Anyway, we're both girls. It's fine for just a little while."

Ryan stared at her and glanced at her budding body.

"Who told you I'm a girl?"

"Aha, are you not a man? I've never seen such a beautiful man. Wait, you're not really a man, are you?"

"Yes, do I need to show it?"

Ryan nodded slightly, and Pardofelis immediately froze.

The girl looked at the boy, and the boy looked back at her, a warm wind blowing through the broken wall and combing their hair.

In the abandoned district, suddenly a scream was heard piercing the air.
