Cedric, closely followed by Marius, approached the surprised group of soldiers.
As they made their presence known, Aurelia snapped back and pounced onto Cedric.
"My darling! I see you missed me!" She hugged him tightly before her eyes widened.
She wasn't alone here, it wasn't time to act like this.
She let go before tapping her clothing.
"Forgive me, I don't know what came over me." She smiled.
'I hope you cover me...' She blushed for a moment before shaking her head, forcing herself out of her lustful state.
While she knew fully well what she wished for the most, it was something she had to wait for.
"Aurelia, has everything proceeded according to plan?" His inquisitive gaze washed over the group.
He crossed his arms before nodding in satisfaction.
Most people here were worshippers of Natura, but a large chunk were following God.
It was a magnificent sight to behold.
While worshippers of Natura were not as good as Christians, he knew that she was an enemy of Chrunus.
As such, to punish the strongest demon he had to fight so far, he would gladly tolerate the presence of other followers, until the purge was complete that was.
Like every infidel, they had a time limit until demon extinction to embrace Christ.
If they had not, then they would be sent to God's embrace.
"Of course, darling, " Aurelia pointed towards the group of prisoners.
"I have healed and rescued everyone!" She smiled and let out a pleased sound.
Cedric nodded.
"Are you proud of me?" She leaned forward.
Cedric closed his eyes before slowly nodding, "Of course I am, you did excellently. God truly granted you the wisdom you needed." He lifted his hand and gently rubbed the top of Aurelia's head, much to the girl's delight.
Aurelia squealed for a moment before catching herself and turning to the rescued prisoners.
She quickly fixed her disheveled hair before taking an imposing stance befitting a ruler of her status, "Some of you might not know who I am, so let me introduce myself."
She took a deep breath, "My name is Aurelia, the First Star and the first Queen of Valar. I am one backing Christianity or, as the Church of Chrunus calls it, heresy of the cross." She stopped for a moment, letting the whispers and murmurs quiet down.
"Some of you..." She watched a group of Christians who already knew of her react rather calmly, but followers of Natura were locked in here for far too long; they did not know anything.
"Have been stuck here for too long, as such I wish to extend you an invitation into one true Church." Aurelia stretched her right arm with a palm up.
The way they reacted worried her, of course, they would be anxious and distrustful.
However, her worries were dashed away as the Christian group reassured them that it truly was a wise decision.
While this was happening, Cedric stood behind, his expression elated at the scene.
What else could he feel but pure joy when new Christians were being converted right before his eyes?
'Aurelia... you are amazing...' He smiled. The girl had gained even more favor with the hero.
He stopped for a moment, his eyes widening slightly.
She deserved a reward, while service to God was the biggest reward one could ask for, it did not mean that those fulfilling his mission didn't deserve some kind of reward.
Be it spiritual or material.
'What would someone like her wish for...' He almost facepalmed himself.
Of course, she made it clear she wants him the most, but she had to be happy with a different reward.
He thought for a moment, his mind wandering before he was suddenly pulled out by Aurelia boldly stating, "And of course that Glorious knight over there is my future husband and God's Chosen!"
Her statement made the entire group stare at him with anticipation.
Cedric sighed, before finally speaking, "It is an honor to stand before new Christians, I, as the God's Chosen, vow that you will be safe from the clutches of Chrunus. They will be cast to hell soon enough!"
Of course, Natura's followers did not know what he was talking about when speaking about Hell, but they would learn.
He had infinite patience for Christians.
They would be guided, they would be taught.
[Create Holy Scripture], With his skill, he created a stack of Bibles, making the staring group stare.
"Sir Cedric... Are you perhaps an Insriber?" One woman asked, her brown eyes glistering.
Cedric shook his head, "No, I am God's Chosen, however, I am blessed to be able to create these holy books."
She nodded, "Still, it's so rare! Can I have one of those?" She almost jumped for joy.
"Of course, I have created these for everyone here." He approached the group before he started distributing the Bibles.
"Aury~ I see your fiancé is here too." Anna's voice reached them as she tapped Aurelia's shoulder.
Aurelia nodded as her gaze was locked on Cedric, "I am just admiring..."
"Heh~ I get it. I guess if he is as powerful as I suspect, the Cathedral is freed?" Anna leaned against Aurelia.
Marius stood silently, his gaze focused on the hero.
He had to emulate his behavior so that he, too, could become a true warrior.
Cedric was truly an idol to anyone who wished to become a proper Paladin.
Aurelia merely nodded, prompting Anna to stay quiet and let her dear Aury enjoy the view of her fiancé distributing the Bibles.
"I just can't help myself..." She murmured.
"I want you all to read them, do not worry if you do not know how to read, as these books will reveal the truth to you," Cedric reassured them.
"How?" The woman spoke as she inspected the bible.
"God's Blessing."
The woman sighed before opening the book; the moment she saw the pages, it was clear to her.
This was no mere book.
"Thank you, Sir Cedric, I will study it diligently."
Her answer pleased him to no end.
He clapped his hands. "Let's get out of here, we can continue talking in the palace."
The group nodded, after all, they had no reason to refuse their benefactors.
Either stay to rot, or go with saviors.
Choice was clear, even if some may have held to their old faith, they too would be brought to light.
